Audience Member I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's nicely done, some entertaining fight scenes with a much more compelling story than a lot of the typical, "girls being trafficked, hero feels the need to save one of them" stories. I've seen a few that delve into more than just those who are physically doing the trafficking and have a larger conspiracy, but this one is more unique when it comes to that angle. I won't spoil it, I recommend you give it a watch. It's not one of those movies that I'd typically give the highest ratings to, the ones where you are thoroughly entertained, but have a rabbit hole of twists and turns and give you compelling life questions to ponder, the psychological thrillers, but this one serves its purpose and serves it much better than I'd expected when I found what the plot was going to be about. If you're going to watch a movie about trafficking, this is one of the better ones I've seen lately. :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member i watched this purely on the chance that i had access to it. It's nothing that was on my radar to see ANYTIME soon if at all. So this is what i have to say - TRANSPARENCY is never really boring - it keeps you engrossed enough. You get to see old man Lou Diamond get his ass kicked like 20 times throughout. Unfortunately both Estella W and Deborah U both look like shit and are never naked. It basically falls under the "something to watch" category. At best - 96 minutes of somewhat entertainment...at worst, you could have used the time to watch something else much better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This film wasn't half bad(some of it really was)but all in all it was a movie that meant well, but fell apart at some of the scenes. Like David(Lou Diamond Phillips)goes to a womans shelter that has signs posted in clear view that say "Absolutely No Men" however when he comes back later to check and see if anyone else is around, he checks the mens washroom?? I did not know what to think of this film although I did notice right away near the end of the film he has a moment with his other daughter , they shot it in "Marina's Gelato" on 224th street here in Maple Ridge. Also to confirm the location when they shoot Lou in this scene outside across the street is Cash Canada(closed and for sale) This was about the sex trade industry however it was another Die Hard film where it is he against the rest of the world where EVERYONE is corrupt. The ending did not sum anything up at all as the previous writer mentioned. Their take on it also is just that, their trying to make something out of nothing. The sex trade industry has been going on for years, does not make it right but it just gave them a topic to shoot a movie. In the end all the people that tried to end this industry either ended up dead or in jail, that the kind of hope we want to leave the viewer with?If someone helps it had better be more than one man taking on yet another army of heavily armed men,he is a security guard they make no mention of him receiving any further training in arms or fighting but yet he takes them all down. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Middling B-movie ennui. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
