Not bad, but not good either. Edgy and interesting at first blush, but look past the singing, dancing and hysterics, and the plot is pretty vacant, just drifting along. Asia Argento is suitably intense, yet sultry, in the lead role, and her performance is pretty much the main, if not only, reason to watch this.

It is a painful story of accepting that you are no more loved by your lover...The Music is the soul or I think I should say that it is one special character in the movie. Thumbs up to the cinematography! Awesome performance by Argento. Cheers to Gatlif. He is a master craftsman in the genre for Gypsy-musical-emotionally-touching story.
