For decades Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood) has been one of baseball's best scouts -- but now his age is catching up with him. It's pretty desperate. It wants to be a Hallmark movie disguised as an underdog story a la Rudy, but the writers never watched a baseball game. If they had, they'd know how players swing a baseball bat.

Come along for the ride through the bus leagues and high school ball watching life of a MLB scout. And get to watch the real equation of how and why dads and daughters can go so wrong. I very well done film with deep performances by Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams, and a disturbingly well done job by Mathew Lillard as the charming yet conniving "other guy".
