Critics Consensus

Fueled by Quentin Tarantino's savvy screenplay and a gallery of oddball performances, Tony Scott's True Romance is a funny and violent action jaunt in the best sense.

J L Wow....just an amazing flick. Definitely one of my favorite movies. An off beat loner finds true love with his soul mate who is searching for kindness and safety in a world full of chaos and evil. The action is nonstop but not senseless and gratuitive. Every frame is edited to perfection with a beautiful rhythm and flow. Incredible scenes and script. This film couldn't be more perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/28/24 Full Review William B They don't make movies like this anymore. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/23/24 Full Review Andrew R Just a lot of fun. Writing very sharp. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/25/24 Full Review Farah R Quentin Tarantino's screenplay is saturated with his signature over-the-top violence and dialogue, and his style is everpresent despite not directing this film. True Romance is loud, crazy, and incredibly fun if you can sit through its somewhat uncomfortable parts. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Sams K Underrated af! Great cast, great story. Good directing by Scott, but I think we should thank Tarantino for this one! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Mark A a silly movie, overrated film. watch it if you nothing better to do Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews
