Matt Singer IFC.com 65 minutes is just enough time to get invested in the characters and the game and not enough time to get bored with the fairly repetitive nature of its structure. Apr 30, 2020 Full Review Christopher Bell indieWire Rarely has a bunch of friends on their last legs been portrayed so authentically, with a refusal to push in emotionally for that cheap audience tear. Rated: B+ Apr 30, 2020 Full Review Neil Genzlinger New York Times "It's sort of interesting," you might find yourself saying, "but is it a film?" Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 2, 2011 Full Review Daniel Carlson Houston Press The dialogue is hilarious and real, ranging from playful jabs between characters to insults masking deeper resentments to the dumb braggadocio that only comes after knowing someone a long time. Apr 30, 2020 Full Review Rob Hunter Film School Rejects It's only an hour long, but the characters manage to entertain and introduce themselves as well as a more traditional film could ever hope to do. Apr 30, 2020 Full Review Daniel Carlson Pajiba The most fun I've had at a movie in a long time. Jun 23, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member It was enchanting, and you couldn't love each character enough. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny and natural. Felt like a lot of improv and ad lib. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A wonderfully realistic film playing out in real-time, Turkey Bowl, draws us into the sweet, sad, and sarcastic world of a particular group of friends who cling to their friendships through the ritual of an annual touch football game. While it risks little in terms of stakes, the ease at which the characters bounce off each other is a reminder of how important our friends have been to us and how important it was for us to break away from them. Equal parts present and nostalgic, Turkey Bowl, gives us a moment of splendor and safety to ponder where we have been and where we are going. Two thumbs up. Go see it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The film had it's funny moments and the characters grow on you eventually but it felt like watching an hour episode of Friends. 30 minutes would've sufficed or maybe even less.
