Julian Roman MovieWeb Good character development and infectious lead chemistry makes Turn Me On a worthwhile watch that leaves you more than merely content. Rated: 3/5 Mar 7, 2025 Full Review Rebecca Johnson Film Focus Online Well acted by its leads and presenting plenty of engaging ideas, Turn Me On is a charming, funny sci-fi romance that despite lacking exploration with some of its themes, is an entertaining and thought-provoking watch. Rated: 3/5 Nov 12, 2024 Full Review Kevin Harley Radio Times Powley's finely modulated lead performance holds the attention, though she's hampered by a plot that doesn't lead anywhere distinct or impactful enough for a set-up so familiar. Rated: 3/5 Nov 5, 2024 Full Review Cristina Aparicio Caimán Cuadernos de Cine Turn Me On allows itself to expose this subject from the parameters of science fiction, assuming that it is the appropriate genre to deal with the great problems of human beings in a metaphorical sense. [Full review in Spanish] Nov 5, 2024 Full Review Katie Hogan FILMHOUNDS Magazine Despite the narrative issues and the minimised character development for the wider cast, the central story is an intriguing and satisfying dystopian romance, with a smattering of comedy thrown in just to lighten the mood Nov 5, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Wendy W Good acting, fun, not too long, decent ending. I LOVED the writer's other sci-fi romance, If You Were the Last, and this one is good, too, but not quite as good. It pays homage to many other sci-fi films, like THX 1138, Fahrenheit 451 (original), and even has some music that's also in Zardoz. These are great movies to emulate, but this one just didn't seem as original as If You Were the Last. I've watched that one 5 or 6 times and recommended it to everyone! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review D S Ten minutes in and I am done. If you think for one moment that any society, any group of human beings would submit to having their basic drives subdued by a daily pill, let alone always take that pill without skipping a dose, then you haven't lived on planet Earth for more than a few minutes. What a ridiculous idea. And the movie is so poorly executed that it feels like someone made a student film, some other idiot stole it, got some funding and just developed it because they could. What garbage. This is the Netflix model at its core...garbage in, garbage out, filling time and holding space for nothing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/25 Full Review hamishthepanda123 W It's a great film. Well acted, great story, keeps you hooked from the start, it is not the best film of the year, but it is still a good film. The plot is intriguing, the performances are brilliant, especially from Nick Robinson. The ending leaves you satisfied and the direction and script are excellent, I love this weird uncanny, futuristic, sci-fi like world. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
