Bel Powley
Actress Bel Powley first found fame on children's spy adventure series "M.I. High" (CBBC, 2007-2011) before successfully transitioning to the film world with leading roles in coming-of-age drama "The Diary of a Teenage Girl" (2015) and historical comedy "A Royal Night Out" (2015). Born in Shepherd's Bush, London in 1992 to an actor father and casting director mother, Powley made her on-screen debut with a bit part in MI5 drama "The Whistleblowers" (ITV, 2007) and soon immersed herself further in the world of espionage when she landed the role of secret agent Daisy Miller in hit kids series "M.I. High" (CBBC, 2007-2011). During her two-year stint on the show, Powley also guested on long-running police drama "The Bill" (ITV, 1984-2010) and "Victoria Wood's Mid-Life Christmas" (BBC1, 2009), played a flower girl in Charles Dickens adaptation "Little Dorrit" (BBC1, 2008) and starred as Carrie Walsh, a teen haunted by the violent death of her mother, in crime miniseries "Murdered" (ITV, 2009). Powley dealt with similar subject matter in "Side By Side" (2013), the touching tale of two orphaned siblings attempting to keep their small family together, while in 2014, she joined the cast of bawdy comedy "Benidorm" (ITV1, 2007-) as demanding party girl Bianca Dyke. Powley then announced her arrival on the international stage with an accomplished performance as Minnie Goetze, a precocious 15-year-old who embarks on an affair with her mother's much older boyfriend, in coming-of-age drama "The Diary of a Teenage Girl" (2015). In the same year, Powley portrayed a young Princess Margaret in VE Day-based comedy-drama "A Royal Night Out" (2015) and appeared opposite Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart in utopian sci-fi "Equals" (2015).
