While Clara Mamet's filmmaking debut hints at some potential, but it is hidden within a film cluttered in borrowed styles and eccentricities. With a cast like this, she might have been able to get away with it if had applied just a bit of depth or realism. The film that starts with a few amusing moments, but it takes a fast jarring turn to bland, obnoxious and completely unoriginal. What must be noted is Clare Mamet's use of language in the construction of dialog. As the daughter of a masterful playwright, you can't help but notice.

This movie made me consistently laugh for its word play. The reaction to things the actors do or say is just jokes. It's the kinda movie that makes me wish I could afford a therapist just because some of the best conversations probably happen with them. Funny shit.

Its a story of a weird girl done by a weird girl- and well. Its ok, if you don't enjoy this movie. It probably just means you can't relate. However, Clara Mamet does an excellent job seducing and confusing us the way life can for adolescent girls everywhere who are dancing around 'the box'.
