Bilge Ebiri New York Magazine/Vulture It'll be easy for some to dismiss this as a familiar story told all too coolly, but look closer and you'll see it has a raging heart. Mar 8, 2015 Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com As exceptional as the acting in the picture is, and it is wonderful ... it can't entirely lift the movie from the rut it has all but plowed into by the end credits. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 6, 2015 Full Review A.O. Scott New York Times The desert landscapes are gorgeously shot by Yves Cape, but "Two Men in Town" never seems to fully inhabit its setting. Nor does the schematic, occasionally clumsy story do justice to the skills of the cast. Mar 5, 2015 Full Review John Noonan FILMINK (Australia) Two Men in Town is a dusty, sun bleached saunter through redemption. Jan 22, 2016 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault You have to get your enjoyment in bits and pieces, from the mood and the landscape and the performances. Rated: C Jul 14, 2015 Full Review Kirk Honeycutt honeycuttshollywood.com Erratic and confounding in its fractured storytelling, Rachid Bouchareb's first foray into filmmaking in the U.S., 'Two Men in Town,' is a mixed bag. Steve D Not a whole lot here despite the cast. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Audience Member The greatest 01 hour: and 56 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrible ending. Very di Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This had the potential to be a really tightly wound thriller as a criminal lays all his hopes on starting a new life in the town he grew up in. However, the sheriff who took him down for his past crimes is unwilling to let him forget his past. The film ultimately fails to deliver, it's very slow paced, I felt the level of threat and intimidation was very mild and the most bizarre choice of all was not to add subtitles to the 3 or 4 very lengthy scenes spoken only in Spanish. I managed to work out what was being said in the first one but the others were lost on me. Very strange! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Impressive. Foreboding atmosphere throughout. Unusual setting (New Mexico). Great acting from great actors. Loved the music. Why is RT score so low? Maybe because it's an intelligent film trying to say something about justice for (black) people. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member this dude foest whitaker is good Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
