This movie had promise, but felt a bit choppy and unfinished, both in editing style and story. Like how they brought up the family tension with the sister but then did nothing with it. Or whether or not the girlfriend pursues nursing instead of just a receptionist. Or the fact that I literally just watched the movie and cannot remember either of their names. The movie rushes ahead at some points with dramatic jumps with no corresponding story, but then creates slow pockets of "atmospheric" cinematography and music breaks that I started fast-forwarding through. It creates a build-up where you want things to succeed, but then resolves nothing. Even the father-son relationship, which seemed to be improving, seems to regress at the very end. Promising, kinda likeable, but ultimately disappointing.

I'm not a wine drinker and I loved it. There's a quiet humor here that transcends every scene. Quite unique and pleasantly amusing. Open a bottle and watch it.

I thought the screenplay was original and clever- with the acting, and editing excellent! Overall the movie was well done despite the ambiguous ending. - but several competent performances by those in key roles made it work. This was a solid film I could recommend to nearly anyone.interested in career choice dilemmas.

Fails to deliver! There will be spoilers. I hung in with this slow movie because the premise of a young man from modest means setting his heart on becoming a somelier was intriguing. Unfortunately, although the movie set the viewer up for an uplifting emotional payoff, it doesn't reward the viewer with the ending we deserve. I waited 104 minutes for a happy ending that never appeared.

Uncorked perfectly depicts the hard won and often grudging love a son forges with his father. And to think it was done in a movie about wine. I recommend!
