Audience Member This is slow moving, but I loved the story. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie was good, mostly, with only a few errors in the special effects. however, the films story was well told Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Hello Everyone, I hope all is well in your world. I know I have a personal intrest in this Film, so of ccourse I may be biased. Some of you may know that my uncle, Lawerence Gabriel, was the executive producer on this project. However, he passed away in July of 2007, and left me in charge, with Director Kenny Golde,to complete this film, bring it to market, and get distribution agreements completed. Talk about trial by fire, thank God for Kenny Golde, because I had no clue where to begin. Now I need to ask for your help. This film would never had been made if it weren't for my Uncle Larry's persistency, and my wife, Caroline's, love of the screenplay. Caroline and I and our children were in Los Angeles visiting my Uncle, when she first read the screenplay, written by Ted Henning in 2003 or 2004. The storyline of the film is centered around Troy(Daniel Gillies), whose wife passes very early in their marriage. Obviously devestated by the death of his wife, Troy must find a way to cope with her death. It is here that Barbar Hershey(his Aunt, Hilda) and the women of her retirement community take Troy under their wings and guide him through the grief process. Ron Perhlman, plays Bobby, and it is through the interaction with Bobby that Troy begins to come to terms with his wife's death. Unfortunately, neither Caroline nor I could have ever imagined that life would immitate art in such a dramatic fashion. In July of 2008, the most incredible woman n the world and the absolute love of my life, my wife Caroline, began experiencing shortness of breath while we were on vacation in NYC. We passed it off as being caused by air pollution in the big apple. By September of 2008, Caroline's symptoms had begun to become a more regular occurence. It was at this time that her doctors ordered a series of tests and consultations. There was no way we could have been prepared for what we were told at the end of all of the tests and consults. Caroline was in need of a double lung transplant. It is for this reason that I am asking for your help. Recently G2 Productions, and Lawerence Gabriel Films, has established a affiliation with three charitable organizations and are currently working to establish with a fourth charity. These charities, the National Transplant Assistance Fund, The National Transplant Foundation, Harmony House and hopefully the Methodist Hospital Foundation. While the number of transplants need to continues to rise, the number of donors does not(in correlation). Also, as you may know transplant surgeries are extremely expensive, and insurance companies have capped limits on what they will pay regardless of what type of transplant. In our circumstance the insurance benefit is approximately less than 30% of the actual transplant costs and does not cover follow-up care which is a life long process for transplant recipients. The cost of anti-rejection medication or immuno-suppressive drugs can range from $7,000.00 to $12,000.00 per month. We are currently trying to raise funds for all four of these organizations, to help not only in covering costs associated with actual transplants, but to also assist in research, and to cover costs associated with creating PSA's (Public Service Announcements) to raise awareness of the need and impact organ donation can have on not only the recipient but on more than 50 people with one individual donation. Shortly we will be making our latess film "UNCROSS THE STARS" (www.uncrossthestarsmovie.com) available to these organizations to raise funds. Funds will also be made available to the Caroline Gabriel Trust, through the NTAF, and NFT, to help cover Caroline's uninsured medical expenses. You can assist in this effort by purchasing a copy of Uncross the Stars through these organizations website shortly. Because these organizations are 501C(3) Trusts your purchase price will be a tax-deductible contribution to these organizations. I will post again shortley once all of the paperwork has been completed. I should also note that I will also be matching a portion of each contribution personally to increase the monies available, We trully need your help. So please email me at mjgabe611@aol.com to let me know if you have seen this post, and I will update all of you on the staus of the affiliations and when the actual film will be available through each one. Finally, if you would forward this information to people you know that would be greatly appreciated. What I am attempting to create here is a massive campaign to raise money and awaareness for Organ Donation. I will be funding a new trust as well, Caroline's Cause and will keep you posted on that as well. Remember as individuals our abilityto accomplish our goals, but together we can change anything! Thank you very much for your time and effort. Mark Gabriel Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
