Yank e A sixteen-year-old could have written the screenplay. Terrible at virtually every level of filmmaking. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review robert p This is loosely and I mean loosely based on the novel by Jules Verne's I found a comment now I haven't read the book so I don't know how close it is to the actual novel though from what I can gather there's no suppose of dinosaurs which are just really super imposed lizards and somehow magically this astroid comes flying by earth it doesn't crash into Eden Sorbs things from the earth including people and animals and atmosphere but somehow evolution doesn't go even though it's been 300,000 years since the last time this astroid came by yeah none of this really makes any sense the whole plot is really bad the acting is bad The cinematography is actually pretty decent so that's it's one saving grace if you like cheesy bad old science fiction movies or horror movies you'll like this one other than that I would just skip this. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Bernard K I know dullard, non-creative people have rated this low, but it is a Jules Verne story, creative and unusual. I liked it! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/31/20 Full Review Audience Member In this sci-fi fantasy, based on a Jules Verne story, two 18th-century men are preparing for a duel when they find themselves caught in the tremendous tailwind of a passing comet. They get sucked onto the comet's head where they find a strange world inhabited by dinosaurs and cave men. The interweaving of new footage with stock shots from One Million B.C. (and Rodan!) is pretty clever. The human story line is the movie's weakest aspect. Albeit Joan Staley as Deena takes off her prehistoric sunsuit and lo and behold she is wearing a Stone-Age bikini! The film is at its best with the prehistoric creatures that were real lizards edited in to look like dinosaurs . I must admit that I did enjoy "Valley of the Dragons". Overall, a bit of a guilty pleasure. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Another mismashed film with stock footage from One Million B.C. and a few other films. The editing isn't too bad though, though it could be better. The characters are typical, but fun enough. The story is the movie's strongest aspect, but even then, it's been told better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member The interweaving of new footage with stock shots from One Million B.C. (and Rodan!) is pretty clever. How dangerously close the actors and actresses come to revealing all when their furs get sopping wet though... Wow! Someone at the MPAA wasn't paying attention.
