The main character keeps her relationship with him a secret. If any of the characters talk to each other, everything would be solved immediately, but they decide to lie to each other instead. The movie concludes with the characters talking to each other and everything is solved. Terrible movie. See more 02/07/2022 Not as bad as people make it out to be. I've enjoyed the work of Fanning and Olsen over the years, and they do a solid job here. However, I found the plot kind of thin and claustrophobic. If it's supposed to be about teens coming of age (bit of a stretch with the actresses being 20-24), then more of the world should be involved; adding more characters and locations might have given the movie more energy, which dragged a bit at times. Ultimately, the emotionally immature and unprepared run into problems which are overcome in the end through solid friendship. Good but not great film overall. The lead characters were well acted, albeit, too old to play graduating high schoolers. It also makes a flaw that most movies make for the purpose of having a story period.
