Overly long; a thin, generic plot; and a mixing of genres that hasn't quite been done right makes ‘Veteran' a little bit of a slog to get through at times. Nevertheless, there are also just enough times where it gets it does get it right, thanks in great part to a fantastic cast and a general infectious energy. In short, there are some fun times, but it's mostly forgettable.

Absolutely gripping from start to finish. Hwang Jung-min as always gives an amazing performance along with yoo Ah-in. It has a splendid balance of humor and whit, with suspense and drama. The fight scenes are also well executed.
