Orlando C @orrman 04/01/2025 I forgot to check the reviews for this film about a quarter of the way through and when I did, I saw how low both sets of ratings were and was about to quit on it and not go back. However, I didn't and glad I made that decision. I was pleasantly surprised. It's not the type of movie that will linger in the mind for a long time, but it's definitely worth a watch. The low review ratings are a bit harsh. It's definitely better than what's been scored. After reading through many of them, I believe the problem is with the reviewer and not the movie. There seems to be this hyper-expectation for this movie, ether because of the director's previous success or the strong resemblance to a Tarentino endeavor, but those comparisons are unfair. If you temper your expectations and view the film for what is, and not through any exaggerated lens, you'll see it's a serviceable and fine film along the lines of a fairlytale (James Gandolfini playing the role of the Fairy Godmother). It's a light and simple film. To expect much more than that, will be disappointing. See more 07/19/2020 Not my kind of film, but it's certainly original and quirky. We get a little background on Violet but not much on Daisy. Allegedly a couple of under-18 teens have taken on a nice PT job of assasin, but the question is why? Would have been better to build the story up and their relationship, how they met, how they became assasisns rather than just being thrown into the middle of the story. I loved the daddy / daughter connection between asassisn / target and the odd contradictions it presents. Good overall, but with more backstory, it would have been better See more 03/20/2020 Bad.
