Audience Member I really enjoyed the movie.... great ending ; ) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/22 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful film. Loved the main actors, the compelling story re Jewish people, Nazis, regular Germans, etc. A heartfelt, intelligent film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, what a great movie, very well done. Good writing, acting, and interesting storyline. Nothing in the movie was predictable. It's great to have movies representing the LGBTQ community without going into the whole coming out drama, there's thousands of films that already address that, and it gets kinda boring. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent film! Exploration of complex subjects through individuals in the film. Enjoyed the character development. Don't miss it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Pleasantly surprised. At first blush, the premise of this film seems an unlikely contrivance: Israeli secret agent befriends gay grandson of a Nazi. And yeah, the premise sort of is. But the script and performances transcend triteness and it’s beautiful and poignant. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/10/18 Full Review Audience Member I rate Walk on Water 4 stars because it displays the best qualities of contemporary film-making: concise, multicultural, visually exciting, and unflinching, with distinct and intertwined stories. The viewer sees the past and present conflicts of Israeli culture alternately through the two main characters -- the doubting zealousness of the seasoned Israeli operative and the clear-eyed innocence of the young German tourist. Well edited and subtle, each scene conveys its message and moves on. Most remarkable are the unexpected revelations in each character and the underlying changes, imperceptible from one scene to the next, but powerful over the arc of the film. In short, the film is enjoyable and riveting. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
