Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Taking a lively approach to an increasingly serious 21st century issue, the skillfully assembled documentary "Wasted! The Story of Food Waste" proves as eye-opening as it is mouth-watering. Oct 12, 2017 Full Review Nick Schager Film Journal International It's a sermonizing work as entertaining as it is informative. Oct 12, 2017 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle Wasted! is sure to be mind-expanding for anyone who's never contemplated what happens when excess food is scraped off one's plate. But the film's real novelty lies in the demonstration of actual solutions that have already been put into practice. Rated: 3/5 Oct 12, 2017 Full Review Amy Glynn Paste Magazine As this movie clearly illustrates, people need to pay attention. Rated: 9/10 Oct 19, 2017 Full Review Harvey S. Kyle M Once you open your mind to this eye-opening insight, you’ll shortly realize how much of an initiative has been built in brief phases on different platforms as a mindset buildup that feeds into multiple suggestions in lowering food waste. This is another inspiring documentary with insightfully vocal perfection, despite occasionally coming off short in compellingly unfinished ideas that pushes us to act with more knowledge against collectively saddening ignorance. (A-) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/14/24 Full Review Audience Member You'll be singing "I Love Trash" after this required viewing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Educational film about amount of food waste that we make! Check it out and maybe we can make a difference! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review dave d THE GREAT THING ABOUT A DOCUMENTARY YOU KNOW LITTLE ABOUT IS IT CAN BE EYE OPENING, HOWEVER THE COUNTER TO THAT IS IT CAN ALSO MAKE YOU SAD. AMERICA IS TOTALLY F'ED. DO PEOPLE CARE? IS THIS AN ISSUE HIGH ENOUGH ON THE SPECTRUM OF IMMINENT THREATS TO OUR PLANET THAT SOMETHING WILL BE DONE? I KNOW ONE THING: IT WILL TAKE A GRASS ROOTS EFFORT BECAUSE OUR POLITICIANS ARE BOUGHT AND PAID FOR. OVERALL IT'S A WORTHWHILE EYE-OPENING FACT BASED FILM THAT ILLUMINATES AND FOR THAT REASON I'M GLAD I WATCH. THE STORY OF HOW MUCH WE WASTE IS ONE THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE AND EVEN IF IT ALTERS IT A LITTLE, THE OLD CLICHE STILL STANDS: EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS! FINAL SCORE: 7.8/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Darcy H Love Bourdain always. A lot of fun and important. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/17 Full Review Read all reviews
