The world of interconnected office buildings, apartment complexes and food courts (shot in all its fluorescent glory on digital video) is the backdrop for "Waydowntown," where young office workers Tom, Sandra, Randy and Curt, have all staked a month's salary on a bet to see who can stay indoors the longest. It's lunch hour on day 24 of the wager and everyone's pretty much reached their breaking point.

The film's snags and stumblings are more than compensated for by its wryly subversive tone. Go to Full Review

Glen D 09/24/2024 This movie is urban No Exit -- hell is other people, but we're all trapped in the walkway tunnels, trying to get to our crappy jobs. Prophetic! See more 05/21/2015 Subtly witty, and thematically biting of office culture. Bravo to the filmmakers. Awesome job with $700k! See more 02/08/2015 Quirky independent and funny hidden jem. There is a little wes anderson feel to this movie in the way its written but a little more dark and dirty. A good amount of interesting ideas and characters with there own uniqueness. Ad a tiny dash of Neapolitan dynamite and you have a somewhat aehead of its time adult quirkady. See more 06/22/2014 Crazy, with a few laughs though. See more 12/22/2013 The premise sounds cool, but the movie falls flat. See more 08/13/2012 Felt a bit pretentious at times, especially in the narration, but it was surprisingly very well-written.
