Audience Member Gangster Jerry is apprehended by cops and put in prison under care of warden Holden. Holden is determined to try and help his charge and keeps his gal Alice from visiting while the young man discovers music might be the source of his character redemption. Pretty soon he is a singing sensation on the wireless when he is released, things are looking positive. This was an opportunity for Bathelmess to demonstrate his skills as a talker. His efforts are competent and his charisma from silent days undiminished. The story is a bit basic and there is something just a bit too sentimental about the hybrid crime romance.
