Audience Member This is not a feel good movie. It is a funny, laugh your behind off--see yourself in these characters type of movie but it don't end well. It is just funny. Michelle Gomez plays the leader of this Scottish blue collar version of Sex in the City, if Carrie cursed like sailor and kicked the butt of any man too cheeky to know his place. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Brilliant film made for channel 4 co written by Irvine Welsh (and you can really tell!). A gritty emotive drama with no lack of violence, swearing and substance abuse. Great female lead cast - finally some good roles for women. Spoilers: Shame the prologue part didn't happen at the ending (like a circular storyline) but then again, that might have been a little unrealistic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member a scottish film about 4 women living different lives but are close friends. a dark comedy that is just so funny. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member An amazingly funny and tragic film. The film makes you cry out oud with laughter and weep sadness. The cast are absolutly perfect in their roles and in my opinion stands head and shoulders above any scottish made movie in years Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member In short, life is not always what you're hoping, and that's what Wedding Belles is all about, focusing on the peculiar relationships of four women, one of which is about to tie the knot. Mildly witty but not very interesting. The idea behind the filming was to condition the viewer to expect a chain of events leading to the climax of the story, but the opening scene is so random that it's hardly believable. The same thing occurs with the final scene. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
