88% Tomatometer 16 Reviews 66% Audience Score 100+ Ratings After breaking off her engagement, leaving a successful banking career behind in the city, and moving to New Jersey for a fresh start, Asha (Pallavi Sharda) couldn't feel more alive. Her mother, on the other hand, thinks that her oldest daughter is about to miss a lifetime of happiness if she doesn't take her focus away from her new startup job and place it on finding a husband instead. Taking matters into her own hands, Asha's mother creates an online dating profile in order to set Asha up with a "perfect" match. Enter Ravi (Suraj Sharma) -- or rather Ravi's parents -- who have the exact same idea for their son. Asha and Ravi's reluctant first date is a bust, and they quickly discover that each is in a seemingly different place in their life right now. After realizing her mother is relentless and will not give up, Asha proposes a plan to Ravi that would be a win-win for both: a pretend relationship to be each other's date to get through the upcoming wedding season. Through countless invitations, dances and dresses in the next three months, Asha and Ravi slowly come to find that they might have more in common than they think. Maybe their parents were onto something after all. Read More Read Less Watch on Netflix Stream Now

Natalia Winkelman New York Times “Wedding Season” is mostly flavorless, but its interest in capitalistic success inspires a pucker of bad taste. Aug 4, 2022 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Variety If the comedy here is mostly routine, the romance is another thing. It really does work, because the actors don’t just phone in the love story — they dance with it, commit to it, and own it. Aug 4, 2022 Full Review Adrian Horton Guardian As churn-able Netflix content goes, Wedding Season is on the better end of the spectrum. Rated: 3/5 Aug 4, 2022 Full Review Gissane Sophia Marvelous Geeks Media Written by Shiwani Srivastava, the story is a delight from start to finish, with each performer bringing their A-game to create something effortlessly endearing. Rated: A Jul 23, 2023 Full Review Pramit Chatterjee Digital Mafia Talkies A major bright spot in Wedding Season is the cast. Pallavi Sharda and Suraj Sharma click so quickly that you have to keep in mind that the union of their characters is the result of a regressive tradition. Rated: 3/5 Jul 20, 2023 Full Review Charlotte Harrison Charlotte Sometimes Goes to the Movies It may tick all the tropes of the romcom bingo card, but when it does it this charmingly – who are we to complain?!?
