Christian T A good sequel to a great first movie, Jake finally see's that there's more to life than drinking, and the only fight worth fighting is for the right reason. Note, if you've not seen once were warriors, don't watch this until you have. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Richard B Just as powerful as the first movie, but with a slightly more positive outlook, another must see Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/02/23 Full Review Audience Member The first movie 'Once Were Warriors' is a classic cult movie and I will continue to watch that movie over and over. The sequel 'What Becomes of a Broken Heart' is the worst movie ever. I see it has rated highly on most sites but the main actors, mother, son in juvenile detention and nig (the gang member) only appear in the sequel for a minute. Nig gets killed for some unknown reason, the son that was in juvenile detention doesn't say one word, and the mum who made such an emotional character in the first movie hardly says a word. Then we come to Jake, in the first movie he was a psychopath, violent, swearing in every sentence. In the sequel he is saying 'please' and 'have a nice day' (wtf!!!). I will never watch the sequel again. What a disappointment. And one person said it was better that the original???? OMG. No hakas, nothing spiritual. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Lovely way to end the series. Goes deep into the lower working class life in 90s-00s AU and NZ. Bravo!
