Audience Member This was Naveen Andrews's next job after his successful performance in The Buddha Of Suberbia (and long before LOST shot him to international fame). A brilliant British comedy, beautifully shot in and around Southall, Hounslow and London's West End about a Pakistani Country and Western band trying to find success in a prejudiced world. I love this film and have seen it time and time again, and it has made me laugh every time. Everything is here; a fledgling romance, brotherly support, a mad wannabe Agent, a traditional Pakistani mother, a nasty uncle and a dog who gradually eats the 'Baddies' alive!!! Great fun. (and great music too). Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Not to be confused with Wild Wild West, a film I would only watch if forced to at gunpoint... A 1993 British comedy about a group of Asian youngsters living in Southall forming a country & western band, this film is an absolute gem; the one of best British comedies ever... That it remains so unknown is a mystery to me. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member An excellent movie. Interesting that fifteen years later, two of the four young lead actors, Naveen Andrews and Ravi Kapoor, are now on hit TV series in the U.S. (Lost and Crossing Jordan).
