What to Know

Critics Consensus

Wine Country's comedy might not be quite as robust as fans of this ensemble will expect, but it's got sweetness on the nose and a nicely balanced finish.

Roxana Hadadi Pajiba In Wine Country, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, and Emily Spivey all seem to be having a blast, but the resultant movie is unfunny and forgettable. May 27, 2019 Full Review Anna Leszkiewicz New Statesman All in all, it's a drinkable, if at times indulgent, affair. May 15, 2019 Full Review Leah Pickett Chicago Reader A curious letdown. May 14, 2019 Full Review Sonali Kokra Firstpost If Wine Country was meant to help women find humour amid the humdrum of their lives, it misses the mark spectacularly. May 15, 2024 Full Review Aaron Charles InSession Film It’s fun just to see all these SNL greats back together again. That alone makes the movie worth watching. Miniver S This is my ultimate comfort movie. If it's not for you; you don't get it, and that's okay! There's a lot of nuance that I think gets missed; women, friendship, life stages... the quirks of each character are charming. Emily Spivey is a nice surprise, and delivers a hilarious performance. I love this movie, perfect for a chill night with a glass of wine. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/25 Full Review L H It was so terrible…the acting and the story…boring and slow. I couldn’t even finish watching it. So disappointed in this cast. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/25 Full Review Alyxia E Can I just say ... this deserves 50 stars outta 5. I've got some feedback for all ya'll who didn't have any fun. Bring it. Be it. Bedazzle it. Maybe don't need to go that far. Or maybe we do? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review A M This movie is hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/25 Full Review Jono H Once you get past the surface level cheap, overdone comedy, it’s a really good, deep film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/25 Full Review Mark L Just plain boring - no focus Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
