Critics Consensus

Though Wolf Creek is effectively horrific, it is still tasteless exploitation.

Women in horror movies are always the ones most brutalized, sure, but what McLean does to Magrath and Morassi borders on pure amoral hatred. Go to Full Review

This combined adaptation of serial Bradley Murdoch and Ivan Milat's crimes is often difficult to watch, but McLean's direction and understanding of horror is on full display. Jarratt has crafted an iconic villain for the ages. Go to Full Review

Jack F @MovieFan111 Nov 28 Ah, yes. Wolf Creek. Absolutely love the title. Great horror movie in general that's set in Australia if you didn't already figure that out. Worth a watch for sure. Don't bother with second one. See more Mike R Sep 19 This film was so ridiculous it’s not even funny. Just who came up with this plot line? They could have killed this psycho so many times, but no, they had to keep dragging it on! See more Calvin T @Calvin504 Aug 6 Wasn't bad but you can tell it isn't a Hollywood film See more Logan L Aug 4 This is yet another one of those eternally frustrating slasher movies where the characters are clearly too stupid to have the necessary survival instincts needed to get themselves out of their dire situation. If a character or characters fail(s) to seize the opportunity to sufficiently kill the antagonist(s) when they have ample time and position to do so, then as far as I’m concerned if they get captured, tortured, raped, killed, etc. after that, it’s squarely on them and their dumb decisions. Yes… this is one of those movies. As popular and highly-regarded as Wolf Creek is in the slasher genre, it sure is annoying in this regard. See more Gabriel T @GabrielFagundes Jul 3 It's a great torture porn without any doubt. It goes from beautiful desertic landscape and youthful fun to full gore. The movie tell us a simple story that can be really brutal, horrifying and sadistic. The ending is sour, what can be seen as adequate for the movie or just sad. I loved See more علاء EL TARF 36 ح @Aala36 May 25 A trivial movie that triumphs evil in the end where a psychopath lurks tourists to kill them, the movie is presented as terrifying and scary but in the end it is a foolish and trivial movie and a waste of time where the opportunities are not equal at all a bad person versus good tourists... I advise not to watch, you will waste your time See more Read all reviews
