Of the new-to-me films, I enjoyed Omar Ali Khan's 2007 Pakistani horror film Zibahkhana. Go to Full Review

...a pastiche of classics of the genre and flat out homage to the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" that observes all the conventions with a twinkle in its eye. Go to Full Review

Smart, funny rip-off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre that does not take itself too seriously and that is loads of fun. Go to Full Review

Overall, a measured mix of clichd horror bits and wit to joke about them keeps Hell's Ground even for a horror audience. Go to Full Review

So while you're being assaulted with ideas, characters and monsters that are clearly 'borrowed' from other sources, well, it's just quite the novelty to witness Pakistan's first gore movie. Go to Full Review

Horrormoviefan G Apr 16 The film is good it's a masterpiece See more 07/09/2012 Okay so it comes from Pakistan...but it's still dull. See more 07/09/2012 Okay so it's the first Pakistan horror movie..so what..It's Boring. See more 04/30/2012 Pakistan's first (and possibly last) zombie /slasher/ gore film. Its follows the horror rules (see "Cabin in the Woods") See more 04/25/2011 Anoyingly westernised. First half Zombie flick, second half 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. Pretty cliche ridden and offers nothing new or interesting except its a film from Pakistan. Dont recommend. See more 09/29/2010 Declaring itself as the first Pakistani gore film, Hell's Ground does have quite of bit of elements working for it, but in the long run it is just a homage. The film starts with a group of teens going somewhere they probably shouldn't, but they are still going anyways. Before you no it the group is getting picked off one by one by either zombies or a killer that wears a hood and kills with a massive morning star, which is extremely effective. The film does don a cool Pakistani soundtrack and just goes to show thatore slashers need morning stars. See more Read all reviews
