Wickedly funny and featuring plenty of gore, Zombieland is proof that the zombie subgenre is far from dead.

Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online It's an okay DVD rental choice but doesn't go beyond that. Rated: C- Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Lisa Rosman Us Weekly With its quick pace and witty writing, it's a nonstop, snarky ride. Jul 19, 2017 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator It is never properly scary. Mostly, it is just very silly, but because the film knows it is silly, it's all rather infectious and not the big, clichĆ©-pumped bore it might otherwise have been. Sep 22, 2014 Full Review Manuel SĆ£o Bento MSB Reviews Zombieland has all the attributes of a pure blockbuster: a phenomenal cast, a straightforward narrative packed with thrilling sequences, a short runtime with fast pacing, compelling characters, and thousands of zombies. Rated: A- Jul 24, 2023 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand The zombie comedy was hardly fresh territory when "Zombieland" came along (and really, will anyone top "Shaun of the Dead"?) but it nonetheless does a fine job of mining the humor inherent in the end of the world. Mar 12, 2022 Full Review George Fenwick The Post NZ For all its silliness, this is not, pardon the pun, brainless; rather, it’s a ruthlessly funny explosion of zombie-film cliches that somehow doubles as a charming road movie. Jen O If you thought Shaun of the Dead delivered the last word in Zombie horror-comedy, Zombieland shows that you can still get fresh laughs from the festering carcasses of the living dead. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/23/25 Full Review Mate P ***SPOILERS*** Zombieland is a fun and pretty well-made movie. The characters are unexpectedly layered and they feel quite real despite the situation. The story is a lot of fun, while the jokes are kind of hit or miss. The Bill Murray sequence was very unexpected and it's probably my favourite one even though I don't agree with him being a bigger star than Tom Cruise. Other things are quite predictable, although I thought Tallahassee would die. Also I think it was a missed opportunity not to use the rules in a way where a character has to break one and something bad happens, but I get it, it's a comedy. The directing is good and the cinematography is surprisingly great. I loved the lighting. The editing is good and the pacing is just flawless. They got the runtime exactly right. The production design is good, but some of the CGI doesn't hold up, especially in the first scene. The practical effects are very convincing though. The soundtrack is awesome. The cast is great and the acting performances are good. Zombieland is fun and surprisingly well-crafted. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/28/25 Full Review Fred I This is one of my favorites, and the second one is awesome too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/22/25 Full Review Wayne H. Had great potential and some great scenes, but overall it’s just Ok Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/21/25 Full Review Hao Ian L There's a certain charm that shines off a stellar cast with amazing chemistry in the face of a film having genres that are polar opposites of one another, which somehow worked in the most creative and funniest ways imaginable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/18/25 Full Review Elsa B Very gruesome but funny! Not for the weak stomached but I really enjoyed it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
