But even "A Man In Full" was too much toxicity for me. All in all, I'm still a Jeff Daniel's and Diane Lane fan, but they have done much better. A little too much sex for me, the writing left a lot to be desired, and the B storyline seemed a little too on the nose, a little too convenient, but it's totally worth a watch. I initially thought there might be potential for this show, but the narrative felt disjointed. The jail scenes had their own vibe, which was fine, but then the home wrecking plot felt completely separate, and the overall storyline seemed scattered. Throughout the series, I struggled to grasp what was really happening. It was mind-boggling—at times, I found myself questioning the purpose of what I was watching. The finale, in particular, was over the top when a character was humorously nicknamed for his anatomy, culminating in an unnecessary reveal. It felt forced and more about shock value than substance. In the end, I have to say that while it is what it is, I can't wholeheartedly recommend it. It just didn't resonate with me. The acting (especially the lead male) is so overdramatic, and odd, the soundtrack seems to be trying to be artful and missing by miles, and the writing is so simple and predictable.
