Based on the best-selling novels by Robert Galbraith (aka J.K. Rowling), Tom Burke ("The Musketeers") stars as private detective Cormoran Strike, a former war veteran now working out of a cramped London office. Together with his assistant, Robin Ellacott, Cormoran tackles cases that have, so far, baffled the police. Though struggling with the psychological and physical toll that combat have wrought on him, Cormoran is well-equipped to delve into complex conundrums thanks to his background as a Special Investigation Branch investigator.

Joel Keller Decider While the mystery in C.B. Strike: The Ink Black Heart is a bit slowly-paced, we do appreciate the elbow room the writers have to explore the lives and relationships of Strike, Robin and the other series regulars. Jan 26, 2025 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said The suggestion of romance continues to thrust and parry, but is gently squelched. Will this be another Moonlighting? Shoutout to the great British character actor Ruth Sheen as the smart, honest assistant we all need. Rated: 2/4 Jan 24, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Barry R SPOILER ALERT. Bloody hell <hand of forehead>. As soon as Gus opened the door for the first time, it was obvious it was him. Brilliant. Now sit through the sluggish plot and jumble of names for the final release of tension between Robin and Cormoran, which doesn’t come. FFS. Oh but, let’s end with this scene instead shall we: “Oh Cormoran, you took a knife for me because I ran into the house of a killer and while you lay dying you tried to tell me you love me, and even though my tears were flowing (because i love you too and needed to hear it) you couldn’t say the words. Oh well, here you are now in hospital, laying there unable to move so I’ll just take this opportunity to let you know that I’m going on a date with that copper tonight. Okay? See you tomorrow? Bye.” What utter cods**t. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review antonio S Having ascertained that everyone has their own tastes and is entitled to their own opinions, I wonder what those who left a negative judgment on this season saw. Personally, I found it practically perfect, considering that one had to synthesize in four scant hours of telefilm 1200 pages or so of the original book. Of course, we would all prefer that the stories of Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott (because it would seem to me that it was high time that the female component of the agency was also given due recognition) be given seasons with as many episodes as possible, but since the budget does not allow for more I would say that the job done by the screenwriter is definitely the best he could have done. The main elements of the plot are all present, the suspenseful moments of the story are respected, the two main characters in the series evolve consistently from their literary correspondents, and the figure of the murderer is as disturbing as the one in the book. For me it is “five stars” full, only because six cannot be given. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Jim W Just horrible. CB Strike has officially “jumped the shark” with this offering. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Kara P This is the worst piece of shite I have ever watched. The writing is horrible. The plot is ridiculous and makes no sense. I felt sorry for the actors that had to read the lines. I loved the previous seasons of this series and could not be more disappointed at how bad this season is from the very first scene to the end. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Veronica R Absolutely love this series.I wait anxiously for every episode. The love between Robin and Strick carriers a place in my heart .I hope this story continues to grow and bring us fans, continued love, enjoyment and entertainment. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/25 Full Review Pat M I think the pace of the show is perfect, can't wait to see E 4 & 5. Quite enjoyable Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/25 Full Review Read all reviews
