Kate Sánchez But Why Tho? May 18
With larger and more coherent action, better lighting, and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Stanley Tucci anchoring the series, Citadel Season 2 has officially washed the bad taste out of my mouth that the first season left. Go to Full Review

After the first season's underwhelming response and recycled allure, season two never had much chance to begin with in a streaming scene flooded with that much hated word 'content'. Go to Full Review

This time, the show is more fun, more engaging, and infinitely more watchable. But the problem is the leads. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, carrying that intensity from season 1, look like misfits amid it all. Go to Full Review

You might not remember anything about the show’s second season after you’re done watching it, but at least you’ll be entertained. Go to Full Review

Despite the wildly inconsistent tone and insouciance, Citadel's second season finds enough pulpy spy-thriller fun and unexpected charm in Stanley Tucci’s scene-stealing turn to make the self-indulgent series an entertaining, but still disposable watch Go to Full Review

Johnnyb S @Johnnybbb 6h What a weak script . Such good action scenes but Wow such a disappointment with such a great cast and Richard Maddens part this this season . Was he an extra? See more Abs B @Abs_B 2d It took them 3 years to come up with this.... Amazon studios should take back all their money. Writen by children, directed and edited terribly. Every aspect is so obvious and the acting has dropped significantly. The first series atleast was fun. See more Jose R @RT47740404 May 22 I’m still processing that episode 6 finale, but the way his death went down in The Citadel season 2 felt like a direct page out of the Game of Thrones playbook. It was eerily similar to the Red Wedding—the sudden betrayal, the brutal shock factor, and the total devastation of the scene felt identical. But honestly? They shouldn't have killed off my boy Robb Stark (aka Richard Madden/ Mason Kane) again. That's exactly where I had to stop the season. Delivering a massive twist is one thing, but completely wiping out a character like that just took the wind right out of the sails. See more Ranman C @Ranman3554 May 22 I was a fan of the intensity of Season 1, so imagine my disappointment when Season 2 came along and it's so much lighter in mood. Probably due to demands of corporate mucky-mucks , they've dumbed it down and softened it up to appeal to an audience which requires nothing more than to be entertained. No thought required. Now we have a "team" of conflicting personalities proctored by Tucci's character who despite their constant annoyance with each other, work well together. In particular, the addition of the Hutch character is especially disappointing. It's the massively overused trope of the cocky, wise-cracking Caucasian guy who, despite his annoyingly personality, is very good at his job. Been there, seen that a thousand times over. It will win over more fans than Season 1, and that was their aim. But I won't be along for the ride. See more A S @Waaromzomoeilijk May 22 The pace of the serie was good, the acting was good, the action scenes were not bad, but the story was ... predictable. See more Shane B @RT20613741 May 22 Better than the last one by a country mile, but Richard Madden still has all the charisma of a bagel with the wrong topping on it. See more Read all reviews
