What to Know

Critics Consensus

Daisy Jones & the Six comes up short at evoking the rockstar credentials that were implied on the page, but the lively duet of Riley Keough and Sam Claflin give this adaptation enough verve to occasionally bring the house down.

Coralie Kraft New Yorker The series’ protagonist is depressingly one-dimensional, despite being modelled on Stevie Nicks. Mar 27, 2023 Full Review Carmen Phillips Autostraddle Daisy Jones admittedly does have a bit of an artificial sheen to it; if you’re looking for a raw depiction of 1970s rock, this is most certainly not it. But if you enjoy listening to Stevie Nicks while drinking white wine with smokey eye shadow... Mar 25, 2023 Full Review Peter Aspden Financial Times There are soppy moments and a little too much flailing, but there is also plenty to like here, notably the charismatic lead performances from Claflin and especially Keough, who sings and twirls like Stevie Nicks... Mar 22, 2023 Full Review Elisa Guimarães Collider By not fleshing out Daisy as much as Billy, Daisy Jones and the Six allows the events of the show to be seen almost exclusively through Billy's eyes. Feb 1, 2024 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Everything is either/or (wife or lover, success or love) with no space for nuance. This is a movie treatment over 10 hours which does make you feel like they kind of wasted your precious time Aug 27, 2023 Full Review Tina Kakadelis Beyond the Cinerama Dome Daisy Jones & The Six speaks to a rockstar phenomenon of a bygone era, and it would be foolish to say it’s not exciting to live the high life like that for ten dreamy episodes. Rhyan F It took me a year to finally watch this series. And what can I say? It's fantastic! The acting, the writing, the soundtrack, the costumes and the setting... simply incredible! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/24 Full Review Esteban C drugs, drama and lots of rock and roll! a great book to series adaptation. sometimes a little slow, sometimes something unnecessary came out and a few changes i wished they kept from the original story, but great overall! visually stunning, incredible soundtrack and a very well captured vibe that made me feel a part of the ‘los angeles’ 70’s music scene! overall, a series with great depth but a lack of interesting filling stories to compensate the main love triangle! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review Mai F Riley as Daisy is mesmerising. Five stars for the entire look of the show which captures the 70s perfectly. Plot and some of the character developments patchy - maybe 3.54 stars. Great on Daisy Jones / Riley - 5 stars for Elvis’ granddaughter entire performance including her singing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Michael D Daisy Jones and the Six may have been loosely inspired by the tale of Fleetwood Mac, but it's a story that stands on its own. This series follows a band, initially just mediocre, that ascends to superstardom upon adding the captivating singer Daisy Jones to the mix. The narrative revolves around the collision of egos, simmering sexual tension, and the power of music, with some memorable tunes along the way. While not flawless, the series offers plenty of entertainment value. Riley Keough delivers a standout performance, and Camila Morrone's portrayal is heartwarming. Overall, Daisy Jones and the Six is an engaging watch that's sure to leave you wanting more. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/12/24 Full Review Ionut M Great show ! If you love rock this series is for you ! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Io P Compelling performances, engaging story, great portrayal of the 70’s…not so good music though (unlike A Star is Born, I doubt the songs in the film will play anywhere else).
