Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Eyes of Wakanda is a triumph for Harris, whose storytelling flair leaps from genre to genre, from a sand-and-sandal epic to a swashbuckling pirate adventure. Rated: 3/4 Aug 6, 2025 Full Review Zaki Hasan San Francisco Chronicle “Eyes of Wakanda” mirrors the best of Marvel’s one-shots: supplemental material enriching the story’s larger world while carving out its own identity. Rated: 3/4 Aug 6, 2025 Full Review David Opie Empire Magazine Without a popular hero to lead with, Eyes Of Wakanda instead relies on the infinite potential of the Wakandan brand to great effect; the result is beautifully crafted but feels somewhat incomplete. Rated: 3/5 Aug 2, 2025 Full Review Aaron Halls That Shelf Watching Marvel Studios Animation’s Eyes of Wakanda feels like receiving thoughtful, hand-crafted, post cards from a friend who has recently visited a location you admire. If you’re a fan of the world of Wakanda, this is a series you won’t want to miss. A b Very fun to watch, I love every episode and its history. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Audience Member Like the show truly. Nice pacing, nice concise story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Artur A MUITO BOM. Conseguiu apresentar bem Wakanda. Eu que não conheço (só o básico) conseguir entender muito bem. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/25 Full Review Danny O I couldn't get behind the animation. No characters stood out. Nothing will be missed if you don't watch this show. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/15/25 Full Review Jacob B I don't know, guys. Is 4 episodes really enough for this anthology series? At least when Star Wars did it, they could be regarded as short films targeted specifically towards Clone Wars fans. I feel that a miniseries exploring Wakanda throughout history needed more than just 4 episodes, especially since the focus on this side of the MCU was derailed by Chadwick Boseman's abrupt death. That being said, Eyes of Wakanda was fine, even if it does seem like optional viewing. The art style looks good, the action sequences are decent and hey, when this miniseries cooks, it cooks. Things such as the first episode's antagonist's conversation with the heroine of the week come to mind. Not too sure about time travel being added to the mix in the 4th episode due to it being at odds with Endgame's depiction of it, though (and lacking the excuses Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Runaways had when they introduced it in their shows). It was nice to see an Iron Fist in the third episode seeing how even after Marvel FINALLY established that the Netflix shows were still canon, they still limited acknowledgement to characters who were introduced in Daredevil. I still think 4 episodes was disappointingly brief but I guess this wasn't a high-priority project and someone was once again operating under the "always leave them wanting more" mentality. It's there if you want to gain more insight on MCU lore (especially since, the "I Am Groot" shorts notwithstanding, this is Marvel Studios' first animated project explicitly set in the Sacred Timeline rather than set in alternate realities like "What If...?", "X-Men '97" and "Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man") but, as far as I can tell, you have nothing to lose if you ignore it. It's pretty clear to me that the Fantastic Four are priority numero uno at the moment anyway. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/14/25 Full Review Ivan R This show is garbage, don’t waste your time watching.
