What to Know

Critics Consensus

Skillfully maintaining its balance of puzzle box teasing and genuine pathos, From's second season is a spooky sci-fi treat.

Each episode drops more puzzle pieces, and I’ve been having a hell of a time trying to put them together. Go to Full Review

I’m not going to pretend that From is a perfect work of television. But for whatever criticism one can lob at it -- that it’s a miasma of phobias, black holes, and loopholes -- From undeniably works as an exemplar of its genre. Go to Full Review

Full-throttle pacing, incredibly high stakes, enigmatic horrors, and an immensely talented cast exploring the murky grey areas of morality make for one of the most thrilling horror series that shouldn’t be missed. Go to Full Review

It has the strong writing to be able to continue to develop characters in a world with very little resolution for the audience. Like the grand plan is worth waiting for…whenever it comes. Go to Full Review

'From' throws us right back into the anxiety-inducing chaotic puzzle that we have come to love and never takes its foot off the pedal. The drama and horror are building tension so palpable you have no choice but to invest. Go to Full Review

All of the cast do good work, enriching the scares with a vital humanity, but Perrineau owns every square centimetre of the screen throughout. Go to Full Review

Gannicus N @Gannicus 1d This show sucks. Every episode gives you more questions than answers. This show feels like one big filler episode. The writers clearly have no idea where they're taking it. How do show's like this get green lit? See more MBI M @MNZGamerX Dec 16 In Season 2 we are not much closer to understanding anything new about the place that these 'random' strangers find themselves in or about the monsters in the forest except that they are somehow connected to the dead. This season tended to be more than a little irritating with some characters doing some really irrational and stupid things and the main characters Boyd, Jim and Kenny appearing to be particularly slow, dense and obtuse at critical moments. The only character that really made a significant change in a positive way has been Jade. In any case, the season ends on an unexpected and unusual note with viewers left expectation about where the new discovery will lead and a family reunited. See more Jose N Dec 7 "From" es puro terror, drama y misterio que engancha de inmediato. See more Kin R Nov 26 Such a great premise, hook and world and then its just dissolving into Lost with poor and random logic, stretching out plots, not resolving things they start etc. the usual problem of when an arc starts getting stretched because a show is a success. A mystery-box show with writers making it up as they go along it seems See more f d Nov 19 I was shocked when i realized a someone decided to make a horror series. After watching season 1, i thought i was good enough, good story line, good hook. But honestly this should have been a movie and after painfully watching three episodes of season 2, im proven right. i mean how long are you going to stretch the suspense? brooooo! new characters are being introduced, with no complete unfolding to preexisting ones and a lot of unexplained things that get ignored as if they never exist. its unrealistic. i think the writers are stretching too thin and they've ruined it. See more Connor S Nov 6 Starts off strong but got really boring and dragged as it went on. Too many unsolved story threads that have no end in sight. Mysteries for the sake of mystery.
