With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent and the GCPD hot on his trail, Turner must rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown, and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.

Zaki Hasan TheWrap There’s too much other quality content based on comic book universes populating the broadcast and streaming landscape to make this feel like anything other than an embarrassing afterthought. May 16, 2023 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Aside from some flat dialogue and a less than complementary mix of performances, the initial episodes are notable simply for how rote they are, whether in terms of plotting or action sequences. There’s no spark. Mar 16, 2023 Full Review Brian Lowry CNN.com Mainly, the show fuels the perception that despite the character’s durability, it’s possible to dip into the Batcave once too often. Mar 14, 2023 Full Review Joe Reid Primetimer There's an affable quality to Gotham Knights that makes it an easy watch, if not one that will have viewers banging down the doors for the next new episode. But the show’s charm just underlines the sad fact that there isn't much of a place for it. Aug 6, 2023 Full Review Ty'Kira Smalls Common Sense Media It has great storytelling potential -- bringing in the children of Batman's enemies -- but fans of DC might turn elsewhere to get their TV Dark Knight-adjacent fix. Rated: 3/5 Apr 26, 2023 Full Review Lisa Laman The Spool Gotham Knights looks dreadful from top to bottom. Mar 16, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

(ENGLISH) Gotham Knights starts off with a premise that, on paper, could be engaging: Bruce Wayne is dead, a group of young suspects is on the run, and the city teeters on the edge of collapse. But it quickly becomes clear that what could have been a dark, gripping thriller in the Batman universe turns into a show that doesn’t quite know what it wants to say—or how to say it. The biggest issue is how little connection the characters manage to build. Aside from a few attempts, most of them lack charisma or depth. Stiff dialogue and plot choices pulled from the teen drama playbook don’t help either. Everything feels overly simplistic, like the show’s afraid to dive into either Gotham’s darkness or its characters' complexities. Visually, it’s passable but unremarkable, and while it does try to throw in twists and mystery, it’s hard to care when the story itself seems to be wandering aimlessly. Instead of building suspense, most episodes feel like a slow march toward the ending. And when even Gotham fails to hold your attention, something’s off. It’s not a total trainwreck, but in a landscape full of superhero content, Gotham Knights doesn’t bring anything new to the table. If you were hoping for a fresh take on the Batman legacy, this isn’t it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review Alex L This right up there with how bad Riverdale's writing is, but the Riverdale actors were good! This was...... disappointing, to say the least. It's corny, the plot doesn't make any sense, and none of the actors seem to know how to say their lines with realism instead of just saying them to make noise (Misha is the exception to this!) Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/25 Full Review Anand R Once again the idiot critics were wrong, great show. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review Audience Member the story was pretty interesting, sadly, some character didn't play well, and some moment was not logic, but it's easy to watch, it's ok for amateur Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Chelsea J It’s so so bad. How much I love DC that is so offensive and awful. Plot doesn’t make sense, characters don’t have personality not including sexuality (but that isn’t important). I don’t recommend if you liked how bad is the Witcher or Percy Jackson, The Mortal Instruments, The Las Airbender, Artemis Fowl.
