HP is a really good, thoughtful shows if you can suspend belief in circumstances that probably wouldn't happen. Family friendly with twists and turns plus family bonding moments!! May not be for everyone, but if you like Will Trent, Monk, Pysched, etc. You will like this show.

Best show I have watched in a long time. Much love for the main protagonist and her intelligence without narcissistic qualities and the deep plot lines throughout the series with all supporting actors. Truly love the deeper story behind the disappearance of her partner 15 years ago and the relationships she has formed from her determination to find him. Gives a lot of heart, shows younger audiences that there are people out there for you even if you are a little different. Also gives a light hearted take on everyone going through different stresses in their lives. Everyone is different and everyone is human, even if you idealise them to have lesser issues

Caricatural main character, super intelligent but accessible woman in (boots and mini skirt), but not a runner, super mom (3 children), super ex (her babysitter), missing husband (personal drama); everything happens quickly, hop a murder, hop you see this detail there, and this and this and this, well there you go: that's it! It's not a police investigation, it's ping-pong. I think it's the Kaitlin Olson - Daniel Sunjata duo that must please those who like the series. Take it away, frankly, there would be nothing left. In this The character of the original French series, HPI, is more offbeat and endearing. The irreverence got lost along the way... American puritanism? Ideal for those who like light entertainment, I recommend it to them.

The protagonist claims to have 160 IQ and mentions that she watch TV shows that featuring crimes, yet steals the evidence from the office of the suspect (if she has watched any good crime series, she would have known that the illegally obtained evidence is inadmissible in court and information obtained from that evidence is considered as the fruit of the position tree and will not be useable in court) it suggests that there is possibility of some mild inaccuracies which people would normally miss and either way it does not interfere with the entertainment value, anyway "High Potential" is still very watchable series, glad that someone took the effort to make it, hence the 5 stars

This show feels like a pretty original take on classic crime shows. The genius mind of the main character - Morgan makes this feel like a mashup of multiple shows and frankly, I love it.

Directed by Rob Thomas, High Potential is a refreshing take on the crime procedural genre, blending humor, mystery, and heartfelt moments into an engaging viewing experience. The series follows Morgan, a single mother with an exceptional ability to notice details that others miss, making her an unlikely but highly effective crime solver. What makes this show stand out is not just its premise but the way it executes each case with creativity and intrigue.
One of the aspects I enjoyed most was the uniqueness of each episode's mystery. Rather than relying on tired, overused crime drama tropes, the show injects a sense of originality into its storytelling. The cases feel fresh, often introducing surprising elements that keep the audience invested. While it maintains a structured format, it never becomes formulaic thanks to the clever writing and character-driven approach.
Kaitlin Olson is a revelation in the lead role, delivering a performance that is both witty and heartfelt. She brings depth to her character, making Morgan more than just a crime-solving genius. She is relatable, flawed, and deeply human. Her chemistry with the supporting cast, particularly Daniel Sunjata, adds another layer of enjoyment, making their dynamic both entertaining and compelling. The interactions between characters feel natural, which helps ground the show even amidst its more eccentric moments.
Beyond the humor and intrigue, High Potential also does a great job balancing lighter comedic moments with more meaningful character development. The show never takes itself too seriously, yet it still delivers emotional beats that add depth to the story. This balance is part of what makes it such an enjoyable watch. It is not just about solving crimes; it is about the people involved and their growth throughout the series.
High Potential is a fantastic addition to the crime procedural landscape. It is sharp, funny, and consistently engaging, making it well worth watching.
