Carol Midgley The Times (UK) Things can get repetitive. But the dialogue does sparkle as the series flits seamlessly between the silly and the profound. Rated: 3/5 Aug 2, 2024 Full Review David Opie Empire Magazine Interview With The Vampire continues to outshine the ’90s movie and even the source material with an extravagant, unabashedly queer second season that cements it as one of the all-time greats. Rated: 5/5 Jul 31, 2024 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) There’s an entertaining surplus of queer desire, fake blood, and ripe dialogue. It’s evocative in the best sense, with the change of location from 1910s New Orleans to 1940s Paris providing a welcome new backdrop. May 24, 2024 Full Review Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) Stereo Geeks (Podcast) I didn’t expect it to be a character study but from the moment Louis appeared on screen, I knew this wasn’t going to be a salacious, surface-level plot about vampires killing people. Aug 9, 2025 Full Review Brooke Obie Black Girl Watching Season two could’ve done with more racial and gender analysis...[but] If I could describe my favorite vampire adaptation in one word it would be: genius. Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Kelechi Ehenulo Confessions From A Geek Mind Even in the show’s slight shortcomings, it doesn’t give off the impression of malice or ill-intention. It plays into the show’s larger themes of people living ugly, complicated lives where there are no easy, cookie-cutter answers. Rated: 4.5/5 Jan 28, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Man D Still stylish, this season has plenty of great moments but spends a little too much time on the interview sections which become a distraction. Great to have Lestat back though and the trial episode is probably the strongest so far. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/02/25 Full Review Jesse M. Interview with the Vampire Season 2 is a stunning and confident return to Anne Rice's world of gothic romance and brutal self-discovery, brilliantly continuing Louis de Pointe du Lac's journey in new settings and with new social dynamics. The series excels in its production design and aesthetic, providing a captivating atmosphere that feels both romantic and dangerous. Delainey Hayles steps into a key role with impressive ferocity, while Assad Zaman's introduction adds a new layer of mesmerizing tension. The writing remains sharp, witty, and deeply poignant, dissecting timeless themes of love, loss, and the eternal search for family. While the influence of the first season's central figure is still deeply felt, this season proves itself a masterful and exquisitely crafted continuation of the story— “What do you want to build?” Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/25 Full Review Kay C Absolutely masterful! The story arch between Louie, Lestat and Armand was just so deep. The last time you see Lestat and Louie reunite was so heart wrenching.. I love this show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/25 Full Review ALISHA F I cannot get enough of this show. It’s unlike any vampire series I’ve watched in the past. It’s mature, it’s humble, it’s a mix of emotions. I am patiently waiting for “the vampire lestat” The complex relationship between Lestat and Louis, the entry of Claudia and the coven, the heartbreak, the betrayal and forgiveness. All in one and done brilliantly. I cried my eye balls out, because i could feel the love lestat had for Louis. And Louis being so self consumed 😢 can’t blame him for who he is. But Lestat “omg” the pain he hides behind his eyes. Damnnn I’m freaking invested in this show and the love that lestat has to Louis. It is a must watch. You will feel everything you’ve ever felt before. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/09/25 Full Review Meme F Didn’t think the show could get better after season 1 but of course it did. The writing and acting on this show is so amazing it’s a shame more people aren’t tuned in. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Ethan O. DUDE! I was patiently waiting for the next season and was thrilled when I got to see a new episode every week! I thought the first episode was slow (but I also remember the book being slow at this time too so idc) but the remaining episodes more than make up for it!! I’m telling you, I did not stop yapping about this show to anyone who would listen. Being able to make connections between this and the books was a treat and the watching the community dissect all the tiny details was amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Read all reviews
