2d agoUnrefutably the worst season yet. I've always loved this show; it's always been my favourite, but I'll be skipping this season when I come to my yearly rewatch.

Sep 16, 2023Still amazing. End of review

Sep 09, 2023it's always sunny had been on a decline for quite a few years now. It's felt more like dreading a new season rather than be excited for one. Few very good episodes in the past few years and a lot of skipable episodes on revisits. But season 16 is truly a return to form. The episodes use the best of the characters canon and every character feels more like themselves then they have it years. I didn't see a lot of overusing characters stereotypes and the characters not feeling authentic which has been missing for a long time! There was also a lot of originality. Not a season that reuses plots or older episodes excessively. If they can carry season 17 with as many solid episodes, I'll have faith that the best sitcom in my lifetime may live for an incredibly long time. 4/5 for me.

Aug 27, 2023Even after so many seasons, 'It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia' still manages to find comedic gold in its ever-reliable cast of cruel and cunning misfits as the idea of the show seems to get only funnier as they grow older and supposably wiser in the process. The blemishes of the series are becoming more noticeable over time, though.

Aug 25, 2023People are crazy. This is easily the funniest season in the last 10 years. Every episode has been hilarious and I love that they're changing things up by bringing in side characters and new actors. You can only watch so many episodes where they mainly stick to the main group and Paddy's, but they're learning to venture outside of that for longer periods of time. BRILLIANT!

Aug 25, 2023One of the best shows of all time. Not their best season, though saved from disaster by a couple classic episodes: Frank vs Russia, and Risk E Rats. Only 8 episodes instead of 10 and Rob's neurological problems due to vaccine injury really damaged the quality of his performances. Sad. Still, better than 99% of content today.
-
Aug 05, 2023Seems like cast is trying to hard to be funny. Show has not been the same since Dennis's departure then return. Just isn't funny anymore.
-
Aug 02, 2023One of the funniest, raunchiest, bonkers and most gutsy comedy series of the past two decades finally has an utterly crap season. The writing, the acting, the storylines, the characterizations - everything was just flat and felt thrown together at the last minute. Couldn't believe that the season finale was...that.
-
Jul 27, 2023Season 16 is as close to Peak Sunny as its been in awhile. It feels fresh and errs on the side of new material instead of repeating the hits.
-
Jul 24, 2023"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Season 16 was a major letdown. The writing was poor, the jokes fell flat, and the excessive visual effects and post-production work felt poorly executed. I didn't even crack a smile throughout the entire season. Compared to the their podcast, which offers better entertainment, this season failed to capture the show's former brilliance. As an evangelist of the show, hoping for improvement in future seasons.
