Synopsis
This documentary series examines how women have helped shape America over the past 150 years, striving for a full and fair share of political power and economic opportunity. Built from the archive of interviews completed for the website Makers.com, the documentary includes talks with movement leaders Gloria Steinem and Eleanor Holmes Norton, as well as with those who opposed the effort. Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Katie Couric and Hillary Clinton offer personal stories.
