Raoul R @raoulrosenberg 2d A ridiculous show that I unfortunately watched to the end of season 1. Each show exists to blow people up with machine guns. The acting is rudimentary and the dialogue is slapdash. It's as if a bunch of writers who grew up playing army video games got a chance to write a TV series, so they concoct a ridiculous conceit each week that allows the characters to have an excuse to shoot as many big guns at bad guys as possible. Now it’s jumping into the world of becoming one drama and action packed law enforcement show. They tackle some good and strong topics. I can see it staying a household name. See more Cyrus S @dogwild Jul 11 Started really bad where it looked like the producers were aiming for an NCIS Montana spinoff but while the writing and overall production could still use improvement, storytelling got better and better with a finale that left me jonesin for the next season. Kayce Dutton’s character will bring in audiences regardless and thankfully you notice a shift during the season where it actually starts being really good. When having a gunfight with opponents shooting at you with auto firing long guns, I do not believe a highly trained operative would duck behind a bale of hay or drywall. That would work in paintball. Or how about the truck that comes out of nowhere and smashes the female marshals' SUV, like the bad guys just happened to know where she was, and that she was alone, and planned to hit it hard enough to stun her but not kill her. Bad writing, contrived plots that move along at astounding speed, and no real pushback to hairbrained, stupid decisions by the lead charactors. I tried to watch it, because I thought Grimes played a really interesting person in Yellowstone. I give up. See more Eddie C @YoGreedyGreedyGrandmamy Jul 1 I was really looking forward to the spin off as the huge disappointment of Sheridan being unable to work out whatever issues he and Kevin Costner had. I expected the same edgy and gritty vibe that made Yellowstone so great. What a let down. It's as though they threw in people completely out of touch with what made Casey's story such a draw. It's as though they got post graduate writers into a room with the idea "Hey let's illiterate every conversation and string so many same sounding sayings steeped with stinky sarcasm."
