It strips things back to what Reacher does best: sharp pacing, brutal but purposeful action, and a mystery that actually respects the audience’s intelligence. Alan Ritchson is fully locked in as Jack Reacher—calm, intimidating, and quietly funny—delivering a performance that feels both effortless and commanding. This season stands out for its tighter writing and stronger tension. The stakes feel personal without becoming melodramatic, the villains are genuinely threatening, and every confrontation—verbal or physical—has weight. There’s no wasted time, no filler, and no overexplaining. It’s confident, lean storytelling that knows exactly what it is. Season 3 proves Reacher isn’t just a solid action show—it’s one of the most consistently satisfying series in the genre right now. Tough, smart, and immensely watchable. See more Sascha G @Sascha77 Dec 31 Maybe this is inevitable with any sort of serialized form of entertainment but by season 3, things in Reacher have become way too formulaic for my taste. For example: Of course Reacher's main ally is a woman (again) and of course she's attractive (again) and - of course - she can't help herself and will, eventually, request a ride on Jack's beanstalk. Call me a cynic but I did see this one coming from a mile away plus there was zero chemistry between the two actors so it felt kinda forced. Unlike Reacher's romance in season 1 where I actively rooted for the two to get together. There are also quite a few shockingly bad performances in this one: Sonya Cassidy as Duffy just seems miscast but Roberto Montesino as her sidekick gives some god-awful line-deliveries and probably could use some more acting lessons. Highlights for me were a solid performance by Anthony Michael Hall and the return of the ever reliable Maria Sten as Neagley. No wonder she's getting her own spin-off series.
