Rafael Motamayor TheWrap Thanks to an interesting location, menacing new villains, a big sense of humor and a renewed focus on Jack Reacher himself, this is the show at its very best. Mar 4, 2025 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express ...the workman-like handling of the story makes everything so by-the-numbers that I nearly zoned out in the first couple of episodes... Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 21, 2025 Full Review Melanie McFarland Salon.com Fight sequences are fewer this time around, which makes the narrative progression feel sluggish at times, compared to previous rampages. Compensating for all that is the regular reminder that a battle royale is brewing. Feb 21, 2025 Full Review Travis Johnson Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) Now, at last, we have a bad guy who actually presents a credible danger to our hobo behemoth. Apr 3, 2025 Full Review Robin Holabird KUNR (Reno, NV) Once again, guns, explosions, and pummeling fill action with enough bodies to fill a cemetery, but joined by warm, fuzzy moments that appeal to men and women, liberals and conservatives. Gareth v The one and only thing this show does well is action scenes. Does it make up for the clunky writing/dialogue and wooden acting? Probably not. Okay but not that memorable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/08/25 Full Review Mark G Reacher Season 3 isn’t as good as Season 1, but it’s definitely better than Season 2. The action’s solid—lots of guns and explosions—but it still throws in some real, heartfelt moments that hit the right note. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/25 Full Review Review F Reacher is an action crime television series developed by Nick Santora for Amazon Prime Video. Based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child, it stars Alan Ritchson as the title character.
Season 3 of Reacher, based on Lee Child's novel Persuader, takes a darker and more personal turn. Jack Reacher (played by Alan Ritchson) is recruited by the DEA to go undercover in Maine to infiltrate the criminal empire of Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall). The mission becomes deeply personal when Reacher discovers connections between Beck's operation and a past tragedy involving an old nemesis, Quinn, whom Reacher believed dead.
Alan Ritchson once again delivers a commanding performance as Jack Reacher, perfectly embodying the character's physicality and Raw originality. His portrayal balances Reacher's brute strength with moments of vulnerability, particularly as flashbacks reveal more about his past. Anthony Michael Hall is menacing as Zachary Beck, while Olivier Richters as Beck’s towering bodyguard Paulie adds an intimidating presence. The introduction of Paulie, a physically imposing adversary played by Olivier Richters, creates a unique challenge for Reacher. Supporting performances, including Sonya Cassidy as DEA agent Susan Duffy and Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck, enrich the narrative with layered characters
The direction embraces a noir-like atmosphere, leaning into the darker themes of the story. The pacing is relentless, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. Fight choreography is brutal yet precise, showcasing Reacher’s raw power in visceral action sequences. Especially The Finale Brawl with Paulie, The climactic fight between Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) and Paulie (Olivier Richters) is a centerpiece of the season. This nearly ten-minute sequence unfolds in multiple phases, showcasing a brutal exchange of blows, grappling, and creative use of props like shovels and garden rakes. The fight escalates dramatically, culminating in a fall off a cliff into turbulent waters, followed by an underwater struggle that emphasizes the stakes of their confrontation
Season 3 of Reacher is a gripping installment that successfully balances high-octane action with psychological depth. With stellar performances , Fight scenes and a compelling narrative, this season cements Reacher as one of Amazon Prime Video's standout series. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/25 Full Review rhonald b There is enough to make this 3th season a pleasant watch, if you don't mind the million plot holes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/27/25 Full Review Audience Member It starts entertainingly enough with that charming/witty dialogue, but then things get just get downright lazy. Michael Baysplosion, 90s-action B-movie lazy. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/25/25 Full Review G A I went in with high expectations of Season 3 and boy, did it disappoint. From the beginning I could see how the plot wad unfolding. The writers telegraphed the narrative so much in advance I knew pretty much what was going to happen from the get go. The writing was shocking. The acting was wooden and unbelievable. Duffy was actually shouting her lines and forcing her attempt at emotion at times. There was zero chemistry between her and Reacher and Alan Ritchson actually looked uncomfortable kissing her. Anthony Michael Hall was just appalling. The Quinn actor was so "dastardly" I was waiting for him to start twirling his moustache - terrible acting. The only decent performances were Richard, Villy, Elliot and Neagly. The rest were phoning their lines in. Everything was so predictable and the plot holes so large you could drive one of the semi-trailer they used in the film, through them. The fights scenes were poorly conceived and choreographed and some of the punches didn't even land but the sound editing did. If Teresa's name was mentioned one more time I was going to put my foot through the screen. It was lazy, careless and amateurish. I know that a lot of people loved but we must have been watching two different shows. I know that Reacher is formulaic but for me it is just dull and boring and I won't be wasting my time any more watching future seasons. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
