Brocklehurst effortlessly establishes several plots from the beginning, the production effortlessly directed by Rashed, who lets the storylines unfold with no extraneous fussiness. Go to Full Review

There are many good performances, but I was especially fond of Jones, whose no-nonsense shamus could support a show of her own, and Gledhill, as the only character allowed to display any sort of cheeriness. Go to Full Review

The show shortchanges its audience on the one quality essential to every great mystery. Logic. Go to Full Review

Run Away gives me little to no good reason to care about these people and as such, I don't care about the mystery they've found themselves wrapped up in. Go to Full Review

Harlan Coben adaptations are about as reliable as it gets (outside of the BBC), and this is no exception. Run Away even attempts to shake up the formula by putting a handful of storylines in motion before slowly revealing how they all intertwine. Go to Full Review

James Nesbitt and Minnie Driver as desperate parents of a vulnerable missing teenager form just one curly strand of spaghetti in this Harlan Coben adaptation, which also features a pair of good-looking killers and a murderous cult Go to Full Review

Emily Haywood Scarfe @em777 2d Lots of twists and turns, cast are fantastic. See more Elisha I @asapidox 3d Gripping from the first episode and never really lets up. The tension, twists, and performances stayed consistently strong all the way through, with a couple of standout highs. Perfect thriller binge. See more John S @Strain-ger 4d Painfully bad with poor/ham acting from many and so many unrealistic scenes - Netflix are getting good at churning out garbage hoping a single talented actor like James Nesbit can carry the whole thing. See more Richard C @DrSniffy 4d This was painful to watch, but once you start, you want to get to the end just to wrap it up. A lot of the characters are pretty unbelievable (whether acting or dialogue). I'm not sure why Minnie Driver was even "in" it? But I never found myself caring too much for anyone. Everything seemed to be exposition, and the overuse of flashbacks to explain every detail was tiring. It was almost as soon as something got mentioned, you'd get an obligatory explainer (either a flashback or an elaborate dialogue) in case you didn’t remember or know what something was. It slowed the pace right down. Even things from previous episodes were recapitulated in case you'd fallen asleep. This was a long walk. See more Sunny P @Sunnycorleone 5d Not worth your time. Casting has focussed on big names, and not people who are suited to the roles. Nesbit average, Jones also. Story is one of those "let's look clever by asking endless questions and opening infinite loops, only to answer v few and for many others to prove irrelevant" approaches to writing. The questions that are answered, are mostly done so in the final couple of scenes in a slapdash manner. You have two of the main characters, who are a couple but aren't believable as such and who do little to let you connect with their characters. Their kids are insufferable. There is a Private Investigator, who decides that being ultra noticeable is a wise way to go about her work, being loud, proud, dressing like curtains, driving a car you rarely see anymore, and going to the workplaces of people she's investigating; every single day. See more Pickle B @Pickleberyy 6d The classic modern day brain rot. Terrible plot, been done a quarter of a million times. Trying to build character development with TikTok style flash backs. Characters all apparently have low IQ. Oh and a random neighbour of the daughter is like a know it all intelligence that’s fully invested in the daughters plot. get Just terrible how is this trending on Netflix😆 See more Read all reviews
