Brandy W It's so bad. I understand revamping a show, possibly trying something a bit new and I love horror comedy so let me say that first. However this is awful . I'm guessing that's what they were doing trying to revamp it and make it into a horror comedy but it doesn't work. For one the horror is pretty much non existent and even the comedy part isn't that funny. But when it is half way okay then the other issue is the scares are so quick and its just dumb to have wasted most of the time with this long drawn out build up for three seconds of what they deem a scare. Then the scares are ridiculous everyone of the actors playing the role of a monster or whatever is so fake looking. Like silly Halloween costumes that even if they did play the story out right to get a scare once thays what pops out it becomes ridiculous not scary. I hate to say this but it should be canceled. I do hope someday someone else gives it a try and they stay a bit truer to the original scare tactics which was great btw. Oh also the host is kinda a miss for me at least and In episode 6, the 3rd (last) scare of the episode was good but just went to fast again. However it was much closer to the older version and I think the comedy worked in it actually. But thats the only decent scare. However, this Jordan Peele version is not worth it. Besides the odd narrator with a Nickelodeon child actor voice, it's a lot of fluff storylines for only a hiccup of actual scare time. Imagine a 5 minute long story and at the very end it's, 10 seconds of the actual climax with basically the ending of, "oh hey... you're on Scare Tactics". After 2 episodes I was done. I'd rather watch a litany of other shows instead. It made me sad bc I loved the series from prior years. My message to the creators of the new show is: stick to the formula. Scare Tactics is a beloved show. You already have a working formula for success - don't fix what isn't broken. Just give us more of what we know and love and you won't go wrong.
