Gullible young adults that were never taught to protect themselves from predators. How disappointing to see they had the ability to seek and commit to a higher education but the very same intellectual instinct didn't filter over to recognising the warning signs of a recently released inmate of which they knew very little about. They succumbed to his so called charms. But, not everyone. There's a time in your life with choice and accountability that you cannot claim to be a victim when you went willingly. But, even worse, when you questioned the behaviour and still stayed. Choice and accountability. Sad story, however, you cannot fully blame a perpetrator when you had the freedom to leave.

WHAT did I just watch? Boring, pointless, and I'm a huge fan of this type of doc. Kept waiting for something to happen based on the reviews. Terrible.

At first I thought this could be a fake documentary but as I watched I realized it was a real story! There are some slow parts but it really took you through the whole psychological journey these kids went through with this creep. Don't want to spoil but I was in tears by the end as it neared the resolution. I don't review much here but I was moved

I have known the Drurys for over twenty five years. This wasn't Claudia's story-- it was mine. Greetings from the Tolland/Mansfield Slavic community, Claudia and Christian. You've been bugging us for quite some time now. Welcome to your international lawsuit.

I am a college educated, older professional and I have no idea what happened here. Where is the story? What did he go to jail for? I get it. He's a creep and a horrible person that should have been no where near children, but I'm so confused as to what happened here. This was all over the place and super hard to figure out what exactly happened. This needs a complete do over by the documentary crew….

Ok…..so honestly I can't even really just rate this right now because I've not watched or finished the whole series. Right now I'm watching episode one and I have only 8 min left but I just had to stop and start looking up reviews to see what peop were actually saying about this. I'm kindve sitting here like WTF!!! Is this real? It's kindve hard to watch, or " listen"I should say, to these accounts and you literally hear this monster manipulating and brainwashing these kids. I've never heard of this story until I came across it on Hulu and it's just unbelievable. Even though this has already happened, just watching makes me feel like it's happening now and I want to desperately help these kids. I think I'm just having a hard time accepting reality that there are truly sick monsters amongst us…..you just never know…..I'll come bk with an updated review once I finish it in its entirety( if its possible that I'm able to finish) Im really unsure how to even rate it….I mean…I gave it 2 1/2 stars just to make it even because it's so bad( meaning what happened to these kids, young adults I should say) but….I hate to say it's "good" when indeed it's horrible but it is keeping my attention if this at all makes any sense. So I guess it's a "good" watch 🤷🏾‍♀️ but i feel guilty in saying that because there's definitely nothing good when it comes to what these kids experienced.

I had just finished watching "You" on Netflix when my boyfriend told me that he had just reactivated his Hulu account. So I decided to switch over to Hulu from Netflix, just to see what was streaming on there. The first show that popped up was entitled, "Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence." I had previously never even heard of the college, let alone this story. So I decided to watch the 3 part episode/series. At first I was laughing at how idiotic these individuals were, to even be participating in the things they said they were admitting to. I was like there's no way people can be this dumb. By the second episode, I was in shock and disbelief and had empathy for these individuals. And by the third episode, I was in tears. The justice that was inevitably brought to that evil incarnate "human being" (Larry) and the healing that took place in the lives and families of the manipulated/abused, shows that there is still some hope in humanity. It is a roller coaster of emotions and very educational to those who are (like me) quick to judge, at first. It gave me insight to just how evil and cruel someone can truly be and showed me that ANYONE can inevitably be persuaded into believing and doing absurd things. Also showed me that forgiveness and healing a more powerful than evil. I definitely recommend this series. 👍 👍

Such an amazing documentary that takes you on an emotional ride with the victims. It left me speechless and in tears. Very well done.

I think it's intriguing but unbelievably hard to sit back and watch these naive white (as usual) parents allow their children to be brainwashed by someone named "Larry". Like why in the hell would this grown man be around my child when he/she should be experiencing the best time of their lives. This enrages me that no one intervened! I didn't rate this documentary because it's a "Hulu & Chill" but because I want everyone to see the stupidity of everyone who was associated with ruining these kids lives and stood back and did nothing!!! This soooo freaking sad.
