Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times The length of the series, which is padded with extraneous material... and scenes that run longer than necessary, dilutes its effects, saps the drama of energy. Feb 16, 2024 Full Review Valerie Anne Autostraddle Overall, I enjoyed the puzzle this show presented. It was hard to watch at times, and tackles really dark themes, but the acting is so great... Jul 31, 2023 Full Review Robert Levin Newsday "The Crowded Room" is an unwatchable mess. Rated: 0/4 Jun 16, 2023 Full Review Prabhjot Bains Exclaim! As The Crowded Room's title suggests, the limited series is crowded with fascinating ideas, moments and performances, but they are obfuscated by a slogging, non-linear structure that never becomes greater than the sum of its parts. Rated: 3/10 Nov 14, 2023 Full Review Sharai Bohannon A Nightmare On Fierce Street Podcast The performances and artistic direction elevate a story that never reaches its full potential. There’s something here, but it never gets out of its own way long enough to dive into the murkier waters the story deserves. Rated: 3 Nov 14, 2023 Full Review Valerie Ettenhofer Film School Rejects Benefits from an A-List cast, but it’s not enough to make it worth a watch. Aug 8, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Lilly S This series was fantastic. The first few episodes can be hard and uncomfortable to watch, but if you stick to it, it will make alot of sense. The series was gripping and the acting was amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/14/25 Full Review HOLD ON TO H unlike most of the people that made a review, I think this show its nothing but a piece of art. Great acting and the way this story get your full attention its just mind blowing. Tom Holland did an amazing job! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/13/25 Full Review Setare H I honestly don’t understand why some people had negative things to say about this series, whether about the length or anything else. I thought it was absolutely amazing. I’ve already watched it multiple times, and everyone I’ve shown it to loved it just as much and kept recommending it further. It’s a shame the series didn’t get the recognition it truly deserved. Tom and Amanda played insanely well their performances were truly outstanding. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/08/25 Full Review Lisa M I watched this all in one go as I couldn't stop. Tom Holland made me "feel". I liked the whole cast and their portrayal of how minds can shield themselves from pain. The mother also did so....obviously. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/07/25 Full Review Brian T. Another example of a movie or show where I have no idea why the “critics” rated it so bad. This show was very good and is “so long” because it dives deep into the complexity of DID. My wife has her doctorate in Psychology and she loved it too. Absolutely worthy of five stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/25 Full Review Graciela B I patiently watched through the repetitious scenes, until it became clear that either danny was playing her or we were getting a complicated multiple personality story. Reminicent, but poor take off truly great films such as The Three Faces of Eve, and Primal Fear. The Crowded Room is a waste. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/25 Full Review Read all reviews
