The show’s social commentary, in turn, allows a retelling of an old story to resonate powerfully in our current moment. Oct 31, 2023 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine House of Usher also dares to bring Poe into the most contemporary of contexts... Oct 27, 2023 Full Review Leila Latif Guardian Mike Flanagan’s final Netflix offering is a spooky, grisly, sumptuously gothic treat Rated: 4/5 Oct 20, 2023 Full Review Julian Singleton Cinapse Mike Flanagan and his regular team of players close out a jaw-dropping era of TV terror with an Edgar Allan Poe adaptation that’s terrifying, tender, and a ton of fun. Ariana R. this was on the edge of your seat good. SPOILER ALERT someone dies each episode, although i had to watch it like 2-3 times to truly understand because there’s a lot going on i can say without a doubt this is one of the best shows i watched at the time. The show explains itself and finishes itself, doesn’t leave you on a wondering cliff hanger. This show is sooo good i recommend it to everyone when people ask for a show to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/12/25 Full Review Larry S The script is so bloated and generic it feels like it was written by ChatGPT Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/18/25 Full Review Ry N Dad made a deal with the devil now kids a going out Final Destination style. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/08/25 Full Review Max L Beautifully executed, acted and perfect cinematography. Tip of the hat to Poe and delivered epically. Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/04/25 Full Review erika m That was a good watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review P M This show was mildly interesting throughout and then decided to cram a bunch of political messaging in during the already lackluster and drawn-out ending.
