Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Although it tags a few familiar bases — an unreliable main character who’s overmedicating, a less than bereaved husband — it’s always engrossing even when the actions of the characters get more and more infuriating. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Tatat Bunnag Bangkok Post While the limited series isn't perfect, it still gives you a solid half-day binge with a few chilling moments and mild entertainment. Apr 25, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider The first episode of The Glass Dome was too predictable, giving us a bad feeling that the rest of the limited series will be, as well. Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Samuel R. Murrian Collider This enterprise certainly gets the job done as a whodunit, but it's more tantalizing as a character study; it's at its most gripping when we're in Lejla's head. Rated: 8/10 Apr 16, 2025 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com The Glass Dome isn't much different from the other crime-thriller that Netflix churns out but is still memorable in a way. Rated: 3/5 Apr 16, 2025 Full Review Chris Joyce Movies and Munchies (YouTube) Several aspects of the plot are left unexamined and characters sometimes act contradictory to what’s been established, but the storytelling effectively misdirects and twists leading to a satisfyingly dark conclusion. Nataša S It's hard to understand why someone would choose to make yet another typical dark crime drama — and even if we turn a blind eye to the many illogical plot twists and accept watching, for what feels like the hundredth time, socially awkward women with unkempt and greasy hair, along with the usual mix of good, bad, and outright stupid policemen — it all ends in a ridiculous and nonsensical way. After eight episodes, the viewer is left thinking: Dear God, why did I waste my time on this? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/07/25 Full Review Eric F When it comes to the "missing child" genre you think immediately of Harlan Coben, but you have to admit that some of his recent offerings are not as good as the earlier ones. This missing child saga comes from Sweden and its good, really good. Who kidnapped the child and murdered her mother? we go through the usual suspects, but never suspect the actual perpetrator. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/07/25 Full Review Timothy L The Glass Dome is nothing special. The story moves along at a glacial pace. The characters are not particularly engaging. The main protagonist begins making horror-movie-level stupid decisions in the final episodes that will make your eyes roll, and the perpetrator...dumb. If there is ever a season two, I will not be watching it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/03/25 Full Review Vaughn A If you want a mystery in which you can be certain that you've figured it out half way through, then this is the one for you. It out-Cobans any Harlen Cobans "thriller" by a mile. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/26/25 Full Review Locus P Very watchable and great, bleak setting among the backdrop of a mining town where the locals were divided over whether the mining project should go ahead. What wasn't so good was too many episodes for the story and the too-often blank expression of the main character. The camera lingered on her face a lot without her showing any kind of emotion and it quickly got wearing. She was good in the role otherwise. The story really needed to drop the "copycat" angle. It just drew things out in an unbelievable and unnecessary way. And it ended up being like a repeat of certain scenes. Who the kidnapper was didn't end up feeling convincing. There was almost no background to show why. And how is it she never heard him speak back during the time she was kidnapped? Overall, it was good but it also felt hollow, as if it needed some depth and substance to make it feel more textured and real. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review SF C Worth the watch!! Well acted and the English dubs were excellent. The first episode was a bit slow, second one was better - then things pepped up. Perhaps some of the plot gets lost in the subplots but it was still very satisfying. Really good. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review Read all reviews
