George is under the impression that he is beginning to lose touch with reality when he finds himself living the same day over and over again. A chance encounter with a man called Archie reveals that George is very much in touch with reality, but at the same time, reality can be stranger than fiction. With George's newfound understanding of his power and perception of space-time, he is forced to choose between loyalty to an organization trying to save the world and the ability to rewrite the past for a friend.

Judy Berman TIME Magazine It’s all as fun to watch as it is compelling to consider. Jul 4, 2023 Full Review Cristina Escobar RogerEbert.com [The Lazarus Project] has it all—a thoughtful exploration of moral questions, time traveling (of sorts), and plenty of suspense. Jun 2, 2023 Full Review Brian Tallerico The Playlist “The Lazarus Project” asks more questions than most TV series these days, and that’s proof enough of its credibility. Rated: B May 27, 2023 Full Review Melody McCune Geek Girl Authority There’s a lot of fun to be had with a premise like this and with the Groundhog Day-inspired time loops... Aug 23, 2023 Full Review Joly Herman Common Sense Media Lush, tense, and complex, The Lazarus Project's quick pace will engage fans of action movies, while offering enough moral depth for those who long for some complexity. Jun 14, 2023 Full Review Joel Keller Decider ... More of an action series than a pedantic sci-fi show. Jun 5, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Kalissa H The first and last episodes are the best. I almost stopped watching it during the middle of the season. There were some heartbreaking backstories which were the best part of the show. Glad there is a season 2 because season 1 didn’t really end. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/25 Full Review Josh J Honestly, I don’t get the high reviews on this show, the main actor is horrifically uninteresting and not realistic and has zero depth.. and the plot isn’t terribly unique or relatable or intriguing so what goves Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review J M Dizzying, boring dialogue, vertigo inducing camera work, hokey love themes, George this, George that. Looping wore out in a hurry. Season 2 can go on without me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review Kyle S. My ideal premise for a show. But not the greatest execution. A bit cheesy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review K C It has an interesting idea but the worst execution. I suffered through the episodes, just wanting to see how it ends. Then...it doesn't end. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/07/25 Full Review B W So much potential with a great story but the writing on how the main character George navigates through the movie is so poorly written and frustrating to watch. How does none of the characters address his idiotic actions and character. Can't trust him but lets him in and then he hides things again and again and again...
