Judy Berman TIME Magazine It’s all as fun to watch as it is compelling to consider. Jul 4, 2023 Full Review Cristina Escobar RogerEbert.com [The Lazarus Project] has it all—a thoughtful exploration of moral questions, time traveling (of sorts), and plenty of suspense. Jun 2, 2023 Full Review Brian Tallerico The Playlist “The Lazarus Project” asks more questions than most TV series these days, and that’s proof enough of its credibility. Rated: B May 27, 2023 Full Review Melody McCune Geek Girl Authority There’s a lot of fun to be had with a premise like this and with the Groundhog Day-inspired time loops... Aug 23, 2023 Full Review Joly Herman Common Sense Media Lush, tense, and complex, The Lazarus Project's quick pace will engage fans of action movies, while offering enough moral depth for those who long for some complexity. Jun 14, 2023 Full Review Joel Keller Decider ... More of an action series than a pedantic sci-fi show. Jun 5, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Aslynn M I started watching this a couple of days ago. At first I thought it's British, they're going to do a decent job of this at least. Great sci-fi idea. Etc. But I quickly found...how do I put this politely? It felt like I got an amazing steak at an amazing restaurant and it was $150 and I can smell it and it just smells great. It comes to my table sizzling and the waiter cuts it in half, and everything is going great, then they shove that half in my face and ask me, "How do you like it?" I'm chewing and chewing, trying to be polite, of course, and I'm thinking, his would be great, amazing even, worth $200 even, if they hadn't shoved it in my face and while I'm choking and tasting how gd'm good the cooking is I'm thinking to myself, "Really, maybe I could have enjoyed this over my entire meal and not in 30 seconds?!" And that's this show. I'm committed, watching season 2, because I have time and work from home, but I feel like they got lazy and didn't talk to any seasoned writers. No one said, "Don't shove half a 12 ounce steak in someone's mouth in 30 seconds." I literally thought to myself in the first episode, "Great idea, they need to let this cook slowly," and suddenly they're into, "Oh no, we've got moles and another time machine and back to the future, oh my"--all without a musical episode. They should have done a musical episode. Oh my. It's like Mr. Bean showing up on Episode one and being, well, Mr. Bean, then in by episode 2 he just steals the 3 wheeled car and runs everyone over to spite them because, well, that's Mr. Bean. But we don't want to get ahead of ourselves. And this show does by episode 3. So sad. Can't be saved. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/05/25 Full Review John S Illogical and faulty plot and the main character is not likeable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/25 Full Review Nate H The most mind-numbing show ever. They don't use the central premise (time travel) almost ever for the plot and it is just about a super-secret gvt org that hires civilians on vibes and then is shocked when they use their unrestricted and unmonitored access to resources for personal goals. Complete trash -- I'd rate it negative stars if I could Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/25 Full Review Shady K I need my time back. The show eventually ended on a cliff hanger without being renewed and I am thanking the Lord it was no continued. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/07/25 Full Review Andy S Oh my god. This show started off with kind of a cool concept and proceeded to get incredibly stupid. As the series goes on, it piles on more and more implausibility. And I'm not talking about the whole manipulation of time thing - that's fine. This is the kind of stuff that will make you say "No normal person would ever do that" and "No covert organization would be this lax with security." How this mess got a 100% tomatometer is beyond me. I stuck with it through S1 but won't be continuing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/26/25 Full Review Jack W I always dislike when characters that are described as super smart suddenly become stupid. How can this super secret organization that is suspicious of everyone miss George ? Because the story needs it to happen to continue. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/18/25 Full Review Read all reviews
