Dan Chase absconded from the CIA and lives off the grid. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past. The FBI's Harold Harper is called on to hunt him down because of his complicated past with the rogue fugitive. When Chase proves to be more difficult to apprehend than the authorities expected, a highly trained special ops contractor is sent to pursue him as well. While on the run, Chase rents a room from Zoe McDonald, who draws on reserves she never knew she had to survive the day when she learns the truth about her new tenant.

If we lived in a culture that was interested in nurturing longer television seasons, perhaps season two of “The Old Man” could reach new heights. In the end, this season shows a lot of promise but ultimately continues to spiral downhill as it goes on.

This was never an action thriller where explosions are used to fill for substance. This is an elegant look at an impossible situation where the daughter of a warlord is kidnapped to save her and forged American. What happens when she finds out about her roots and familial ties. Now add the intelligence world, the military, middle eastern conflict and financial interests. There are plenty of easy to understand series like lioness, where themes are spoon fed to you while doing the helicopter. Sure it's fun but you will have to eventually learn to feed yourself and refine your taste.

After seeing season 1, I was very excited when season 2 finally started. Huge difference between the 2 seasons. Season 2 is bogged, slow, and just boring. The story is not compelling(to me). I am sure it follows the book storyline but phew, it is a slog.
