We almost think at this point that Tulsa King is designed to be ridiculous on purpose, because as eye-rolling as the second-season premiere was, we still want to watch Dwight and his crew get the upper hand on everyone in Tulsa and Brooklyn. Especialmente, la relación de Dwight con su hija Tina, Tyson con su padre y las consecuencias que afectan el matrimonio de Armand. Hay más intensidad al ver cómo el imperio de Dwight va creciendo, pasando del negocio de la marihuana hasta el mundo de la venta de autos. Esta temporada resulta ser un poco mejor que la anterior y se puede notar más el crecimiento que va teniendo el negocio de Dwight al punto de ir teniendo conflictos con otros líderes cercanos. No decepciona en seguir ofreciendo personajes fascinantes y una buena historia a pesar de su lentitud. Aunque esta temporada deja de forma abrupta una puerta abierta para la tercera temporada, lo demás resulta ser suficiente para demostrar el potencial que esta serie tiene como drama criminal. Sure, it has the vibe of a cheesy WB drama—complete with over-the-top characters and cringey dialogue. They even tossed in a full-blown outfit-trying montage straight out of a bargain-bin episode of One Tree Hill. The weakest part, by far, is the female cast; not a single one of them is written to be remotely likable. And yet… I still enjoy watching it. It’s basically a soap opera in disguise.
