Chris Revelle Pajiba A perfectly pleasant watching experience with some decent jokes and occasional emotional depth that evaporates from the mind like a dream when it’s done. Aug 23, 2024 Full Review Caitlin Wyneken Tell-Tale TV While this an ensemble piece stacked with talent, father and son will always be at the center of it. Rob Lowe leans fully into the reputation he’s gained in other roles. Rated: 4/5 Aug 6, 2024 Full Review Joel Keller Decider While Unstable‘s second season makes a move towards more of a workplace comedy and less of a comedy about grief and family, the show has established a funny workplace. mike v For me, the first season was a mix of lighthearted comedy and quirky characters, with just enough entertainment value to make me watch the second season. Unfortunately, the second season took the show from unstable to unwatchable. There's a lot not to like, but the biggest issue is that the story never really advances. It’s one harebrained scheme after another by Rob Lowe's character, always backfiring, with him never seeming to learn anything. In the first season, his behavior was grounded in the loss of his wife, which gave his actions some context. In the second season, there's no relatable motivation for the audience to endure his antics. At some point, it becomes hard to accept the premise that he's a crazy billionaire genius, instead of just a narcissistic egomaniac. It's a shame because the cast is talented but wasted on terrible storylines. I don't expect there will be a season 3. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/07/24 Full Review Daniel O More of the same as in Season 1, and I'm not looking for much more. It's still an easy, light-hearted, turn-off-the-brain show that appeals to people myself: aspiring entrepreneurs, techies, while making stupid jokes. Nothing about this show is award winning or out of the ordinary, but it's a fun and a relaxing way to end the day. I'm increasingly loving the cast and they're actually the main reason I'm going to keep watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review Liz G Season Two so lame. I fell asleep. So disappointed. Season One was good Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/01/24 Full Review Gina M The first season was great, but don’t even bother with the second. They took everything good about the first season and just destroyed it. Luna and Ruby’s characters were totally changed and disregarded. There was no science. All the characters became unlikeable. Jackson was incredibly whiny and totally gaslit Luna. Very cringy moments between characters with awkward writing. Very messy writing. Sad because the first season was so good Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/31/24 Full Review Marc S Loved the first season so kind of shocked how bad this one is and stopped after 3 eps. Just horrible. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Joey S What we really need now is more workplace comedies like this one! It’s an ensemble show where every single character shines. The situations are goofy, the characters are outrageous, and it’s an enjoyable half hour of wackiness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews
